Same thing here.
Here is how public schools are funded in Michigan

So the state determines the formula and distributes the funds according to that formula and other factors. Isn't that what I was saying?
But that is only part of the district's budget. The rest is supplied by local government.

And Flint gets 50% than the rest of the state. What they do with that money is not controlled by the state.

Not only does Flint get money, they get a disproportionately LARGE amount of money. And they piss it away like most other cities do.
Evidently Michigan is not like NC. That would not matter here. The nurses are independent of the school system. The Health Departments supply them.
Here nurses are school district employees. They earn state retirement but are paid by, get their benefits from, and are subject to the authority of the school district. Salary is determined by the district. There is a lead nurse for the entire district that is in charge of all of the school nurses.
It seems Michigan law does not require public schools to have a nurse on duty. Wow.

So you got hysterical and made passive/aggressive attacks on the state of Michigan based on ignorance?
Par for the course with you.

Nor does Minnesota or New York (well NY did not 15 years ago, I'm not sure about currently).
For most schools a regular nurse is not a must have. Get some teacher trained up on cpr and treatment of very common emergency medicine. Then rotate a nurse around the schools for scheduled tests and what not.

"According to the National Center for Education Statistics and the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), only 45 percent of the public schools in the US have a full-time nurse, 30 percent have a part-time nurse and 25 percent have no nurse at all."

Different states fund things differently.
In Illinois, which sounds like Michigan, your local school district is funded by property taxes, and a little bit of money from the state and federal government. (If my memory is correct) We spend about 11,000 per student.
Many school districts in Illinois may be a single (or a few) elementary school(s), middle school, and high school. Michigan may be the same.
A nurse is an employee of the school district.
North Carolina's school systems are financed and organized differently.

False, they are financed the same but run differently. Michigan and Illinois are both train wrecks because of liberal leadership. NC is also one of the most union UN-friendly states in America. The teacher's unions don't have anywhere close to as much power as collective bargaining is prohibited.
Nurses are hired by the local district in most cases.

I am not sure what you are stating is false. Illinois schools are funded by local property taxes. That is a true statement.
