Oregon use to barely spend a dime on their hoop program when they finally went "all in" a few years ago and decided to build the most expensive on-campus arena in the country (approx $240 Million), that is yet intimate for this 12,364 seat facility. The arena also includes men's and women's basketball practice facilities, top lockerrooms and lounges, nutrition bars, etc....as the Matthew Knight Arena replaced the 2nd oldest NCAA arena/gym that opened up for Oregon in the 1920s.

Oregon's huge investment is finally paying off.

In addition to have a student sections of the first 5-6 rows all along the entire court, Oregon also has a "wall" (similar to Maryland) that is another steep student section too.

07-coffee3 It's probably not a whole lot of difference in standard of living compared to what Josh makes. Considerably more expensive
to live on west coast than in the South. Maybe not two million difference but a lot different. Housing especially and state taxes, etc.

We need to evaluate our standards. Our next hire isnt going to have a better resume than Josh or Altman. We have to sell potential and hope.

Unless we can lure Buzz away from the pit that is VT...

Exactly but that's my point. Altman doesn't bring anything but proven more of the same. If you can't hire something better you further kill the program.

Dude...its Eugene, Oregon...not San Fran (where averaged price condo/home is now close to $1.2 Million), while average home in Eugene is $240,000.
