It's because we are better, national perception shows that we are much much better. Our tv contract is better, we could take any coach from any G4 school we want which Tulane proved to be fact. When a G4 school beats an AAC school it is considered an upset and when we win it is expected. The AAC is better, it's a fact so deal with it.

The AAC fans' perception is that you're much better. Just last year CUSA had the best OOC record. When NIU went to the Orange Bowl the MAC was like 4-4 against the AAC and they didn't play most of the best MAC teams. The AAC is better this year, and better than the MAC specifically pretty much any year, but the difference is not as big as you want it to be. Besides, Tulane with all its money has apparently not been able to hire a coach that can make it competitive.

The AAC, with limited revenue, is perhaps the best of the bush leagues.

Funny thing about that Ole Miss game. At least by the 2nd half, it was one of our easier wins. Against Cincy for example, it was a nail-biter to the end. USF played us tougher than Ole Miss, and the Tulsa game was in doubt until the 4th quarter. BGSU was also a tougher win.

My memory fades a bit over the season, but that's how I remember it. But I think I'm dead on about the ease of the Ole Miss win.

Kansas is a scrub of course, but the poster did ask about P5 wins.

They paid big money to re-create a conference that they were already in. When those very teams were together under the C-USA banner, they derided it and talked about how much it sucked. We remade the conference sure, but can you tell the difference? No Southern Miss and no Marshall. We trimmed the fat and only took the best schools. The schools who belong in a power type conference were chosen. The excess baggage was tossed in the trash where it belongs. That's why we are so proud of our conference.

Ummm no market, no academics, a drag on the conference bottom line. I would say that is fat that should have been trimmed years ago. If the C-USA would have cut USM, UAB, Marshall and so on then maybe none of us would have had to bolt in the first place.
