Cincy has made the Ncaa tournament for the past 5 straight years. Since 2007, in football, Cincy has won 5 conference championships and been in 2 BCS bowls.

Navy is more than just a "novelty". Unlike Army in Cusa they field a competitive football team which was recently ranked at 10-2. They have had exactly 1 losing season since 2002.

Temple has been to the Ncaa tourney 6 of the past 7 years.

USF is a solid program committed to winning. Who would you rather have in your conference, USF or FIU/FAU?

There is no shred of truth to that, we were added because between our market and academics we are a sleeping giant. Tulane has the potential to contend with LSU in Louisiana and the AAC knows that. Tulane left USM in the dust, they can't compete with us in the classroom, on the field, or with our market and national prestige. Any rational college football fan would know that Tulane has accomplished more then USM. We went undefeated, has Southern Miss done that? No they have not nor has most of the schools in this conference. It's time to start showing Tulane the respect we deserve.

It's because we are better, national perception shows that we are much much better. Our tv contract is better, we could take any coach from any G4 school we want which Tulane proved to be fact. When a G4 school beats an AAC school it is considered an upset and when we win it is expected. The AAC is better, it's a fact so deal with it.

you have zero room to talk, jagoff. when tulane was invited to "the artist formerly known as the big east", half of the entire conference defected. like, the next day. everyone in the BE was fine with realignment one day. tulane was invited the next day. half of the conference evacuated the day after that.

so, in other words, the entire big east preferred to literally commit suicide rather than be forced to be in the same conference as tulane.

You have no market. Tulane is behind LSU, LaTech, and ULL In fan support in your state not even counting the Saints. New Orleans is a pretty big city to be playing football in an empty stadium and basketball in front of 1,000 people. When Tulane joined the Big East the rest conference quit immediately and took their name with them. That is hilarious. Let that sink in. Georgetown, Villanova, and the rest thought that much less of Tulane.

What American team beat 2 P5 teams this year as BGSU did (Maryland & Purdue) what American team held a top 4 nationally ranked opponent to 20 pts and 298 yards of Total Offense forcing 5 turnovers like NIU did vs Ohio State, only Michigan State held OSU to fewer points than NIU did.

How many AMerican teams beat an SEC team with a winning record like Toledo did Arkansas. Toledo also beat another P5 team (Iowa State) and crushed American division champion Temple in their bowl.

It's not just football. The MAC has a Top 4 nationally ranked Men's Soccer program in Akron, 4 nationally ranked Wrestling programs CMU #16, Ohio #21 along with Missouri #4 and Old Dominion #24, the only Non P5 nationally ranked Men's Track team (Akron #23) and a top 20 ranked Men's Ice Hockey program in BGSU (#12).

All around excellence not just in 1 or 2 sports

I really hate to agree with such an obvious troll but...yeah, that's kind of what happened. Tulane joined the conference, and the basketball schools were none too thrilled.
