RE: Brohm/Monken...
I never said the man couldn't coach, I SAID if we aren't careful he could have it going south and same as it is now....How does he relate to our Players will be Key for starters....How much would he get for his Assistants Pool vs Brohm will be a big key because Brohm will want a bigger pool for it.....Monken never had great defenses it seems anywhere he has been....Brohm has Exprience at QB and developing QB's and that will be Key For Brady Davis, Clay Holgerson.....I will support who ever the coach is, and let them know once they are on board.....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I'm down with Monken. He recruits the same areas that we do - Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana. Would be able to quickly keep the momentum on the recruiting trail...probably salvage most of this class.

Of the two, I prefer Monken. But either one would be OK.

Just a few years ago we were a doormat in C-USA. Now we are talking about taking the coach of their champ! This is proof that our FB program has been elevated.

I always lean towards the ones who played QB in college.

I don't know. I still think there should be a look at Anderson at Arkansas St. He was the OC under Fedora at USM and UNC. He's from Jonesboro so he knows the area well. And he has Ark St turned around this year. Obviously the one negative for him is his buyout.

I'd be fine with either, but I too prefer Monken. I think he'd be great here...recruits the key areas and players that Memphis would likely have to target. Has an NFL pedigree & a proven successful offense. Plus, he seems to be a man of character.

Maybe we could work out a home and home series to lower that...

He's been there 3 years, so is that the current buyout? Or has it dropped from that?

RE: Brohm/Monken...
With Monken as the OC, OK State averaged 44.7 ppg and almost 550 yards at OK State with a freshmen QB in 2012. During his two years as the OC at OK State, the cowboys scored 50 or more ten times, 60 or more 5 times, 70 twice, and over 80 once.

Do you guys really think either of these two would make an at best lateral move to Memphis? I haven't read the comic books in many a year and this thread takes the cake...lol... A play in to go to Memphis. Now, that's funny

did either of these schools recently offer their coach 3 mil to coach there? Ok, then get out of here with the lateral at best nonsense.
