You wont find many SU fans who would prefer an open air stadium over a dome.

But you never can tell what the weather will be like up here from one day to the next. I have seen it snow on Halloween, then this year it was in the mid 50's and still is in the mid 50's and even in the 70's. Last November was one of the coldest on record with the most snow ever recorded in November. I would much rather have a dome.

Agreed...I wish we could have a setting like this...but as a northern urban school we are what we are. Games are dicey in November...and I don't want to sit in cold, rain, snow, ice....I can tailgate in it...but want to walk into a warm stadium.

LOL, I knew what you meant. But I once read that the reason that Syracuse gets more snow than any other city in the US, even more than Buffalo and Rochester, is because of the lake affect snow systems from Lake Ontario and Lake Erie meeting right over Syracuse.

That area in Red with 300 inches average is the area My wife is from. Just below the Tug Hill Plateau. You don't even want to know about getting stuck in snow. Lol !

The Tug Hill Plateau once averaged 600 inches over several years. That's 50 feet of snow.

It also literally can dump 70 inches in spot and 7 inches in another spot 3 miles away

That is an impressive photo ! looks like Our Christmas trip one year to Turin, Ny. Not a cloud nor snow flake from Louisville, and when We got to Adams Center on I-81 all hell broke loose like that. It took 5 hours for driving 35 miles from Adams center down the Tug hill , thru Barnes Corners to Lowville, to Turin. No Snow in Watertown nor Booneville, not very far away. That will open Your eyes for sure.04-jawdrop

The following link does a good job of describing how Syracuse gets snow from both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie:

"the snowiest city is Syracuse, New York, which gets lake effect precipitation from Lake Ontario as well as Lake Erie".

I'm sure it does depending on wind direction. But the average annual snowfall totals show Syracuse doesn't lie within Erie's main belt. Jmo.

Well if That really were to happen, The ACC scheduling Gods could put FSU in a seasons end game in Syracuse. Late November, early December would be perfect.03-lmfao

The problem is finding an alternative who will be better. This is a terrible year to hire a HC. And to be fair to him, the talent level is improving and the team is young. If the defense was average for a SU team under HC/DCSS, we would be WAY better.

Our assistant coaches are just a train wreck, but I've been saying that since HCDM left. It's not a surprise and it was 100% preventable. The program has just been mismanaged.

RE: Scott Shafer isn't a head coach
hes not a buffoon but we probably need to look elsewhere for an offensive minded head coach with some recruiting connections whether potential staff or the head man in atlantic coast and florida with head coaching experience being favored by me over coordinator
