Committed a week after getting an offer...seems extremely "in". Kids a state-level high jumper and sprinter on top of being a solid corner. Was receiving interest from multiple B1G teams.

Eh as long as every MAC school is offering him like they pretty much did you know he’s solid. May never be a starter but could be a great special teams nickel back/rover/depth guy. Nice add welcome to the fam!

Also I trust fickell and his staff in every aspect of how this program has been and is being built thus far.

Kid has some speed. I hear he's a good kick and punt returner which is an area we need to upgrade.

that isn't what Doss is saying here....his emphasis is on the word "other". As in, we are not a MAC school. When you talk about UC getting a kid who had MAC offers and say that we got him over "other" MAC schools, the implication is that we are in the MAC. He is knocking the sloppy writing, not the fact we got a kid that held MAC offers.

Unless I missed it, the problem is nobody said "other MAC schools" in any of these posts or links. Maybe it was one of the voices in his head or maybe Doss just made it up, but I don't see the alleged sloppy writing to take offense to.

Where was the word "other" used outside of doss' post?

RE: FB Class of 2020
Bearcats getting official visits from 2 Chicago area recruits:

Quote:Warren Township’s senior three star-ranked defensive tackle Willis Singleton Jr. (6-foot-2, 290 pounds) has drawn some last minute spring evaluation Power Five scholarship offers over the past few days.

"I'm in the middle of taking my finals earlier this week," Singleton Jr. said. "All of a sudden my phone starts blowing up with texts from the coaches from Michigan State and then Missouri. Next thing I know Michigan State offered me and a day or so later Missouri also offers. It's been fun and also really crazy so far this week."

Singleton Jr. has four visits already planned for this summer including taking his first official visit to Cincinnati on June 8.

"This coming weekend I'll be visiting Louisville but that will be an unofficial visit. The following weekend I'll be visiting Illinois on June 7 and that will also be an unofficial visit. I'm going to Cincinnati for an official visit on June 8. On Father’s Day weekend I'm visiting Iowa State and that will also be an unofficial visit. Michigan State and Missouri haven't mentioned anything yet about any visits but if I feel like I want to take a few more visits I will try to fit those in as well."

Quote:Providence Catholic’s senior offensive guard recruit Jake Renfro (6-foot-3, 295 pounds) was also able to add a Power Five offer earlier this week from Syracuse.

"Syracuse was in school a few weeks ago and seems very interested," according to Renfro. "I was hoping they would offer and getting that offer {Wednesday} was a big surprise."

Renfro, who has set up his first official visit to Cincinnati on June 14 is also very interested in Syracuse.

Two very good prospects with us in their final schools:

Lakeem Rudolph, 3* WR out of Virginia

Jaheim Thomas, 4* SS/LB from Princeton HS

Jaheim Thomas, in particular, would be a HUGE get for UC. Supposedly he was very interested in OSU and got an offer from them in March. I think he's gone on several visits with his teammates Paris J and Darrion Henry to OSU and maybe a couple of other schools - hence the package deal rumors. So it's surprising to see OSU didn't make his top 7. I'd love to see him as another Hometown Hero. I'm guessing Mike Daniels will try to make sure we at least get a fair shot.

Prater has been going after him quite a bit...they were teammates on a few youth teams growing up and there is a connection there. I would love any of the Princeton guys, but Thomas is clearly the best possibility...I think the biggest competition will be Kentucky and LSU for him. They've both been going hard for Thomas and Henry, which is where the initial package deal rumors started, though we're still in it for both of them, and man would it be incredible if Fick and Freeman could pull that off.

It's a bit confusing regarding schools, visits and offers, but here's a 247 freebie on Akron East LB Bangally Kamara. He's planning on taking an official to UC this weekend followed by visits to Pitt, and a MIch St. midweek. Then he'll take his last visit to Michigan or Nebraska before making his decision on or close to June 27.

Lots of official visitors this week, 11 to be exact. Only posting those who have made it public, but it's a hell of a list.

Paris Johnson, 5* OT at Princeton HS (OSU Commit and #8 overall prospect in 2020)
Jaheim Thomas, 4* OLB at Princeton HS
Gage Keys, 3* DE/TE at Hilliard Davidson
Jaiden Cameron, 3* DE at Nortmonth
Deshawn Jones, 3* DB at Akron East
Bengally Kamara, 3* OLB at Akron East

Other big names, including another 4* recruit and four other 3*s

Anyone know the likelihood of Bengally and Deshawn being a package deal? Would be nice to land both - maybe if one commits, it'll sway the opinion of the other..
