I've been waiting for this series for a while. I loved traveling to Cincy for our game a few years ago. I have to say that Nippert Stadium is one of my favorite stadiums I have been to. I can't wait to watch these two teams play.

Good series for both schools.

Marshall gets a much needed Power6 team to play for their weak schedule issues.

I know we scheduled a series with them as well so it looks like Marshall is trying to reach out to the AAC schools. They are not going to be a cakewalk especially in Huntington.

I dont think AAC schools should play them as long as they operate with their NQ policy

2019 schedule is all messed up. Something is up. Really hope OSU game isn't getting dropped.

UC's 2019 OOC schedule is all out of whack.

Home - UCLA
Road - Ohio State, Miami, Boise State, Marshall

UCLA is a great home game, but we didn't just spend $86 million to renovate Nippert to only have a total of five home games (including AAC) over the course of a season.

Yeah I don't know how I feel about ECU & Cincy scheduling Marshall. They have some real questionable players on their roster due to their tendency to take NQ's every year. It's not a beneficial situation for ECU or Cincy, IMO.

I honestly do not see what the benefit Cincy gets in scheduling with Marshall? Marshall gets a benefit if they win, Cincy really gets nothing as they will be expected to beat Marsahll. If Cincy's losses they look weak. HEad scratcher on this one. Wonder if Cincy would buy out the home game.

UC does not have the money to buy out games. Why would they buy out a game they just scheduled?

It's a good regional opponent. I have no problem with it.

Marshall travels okay, there are worse opponents

Only one home OOC in 2019? That might make sense. Marshall replaces @OSU.

People are saying to replace Miami with Marshall, but that doesn't fix the 5 home games issue and an OOC schedule of Ohio St, UCLA, Boise, and Marshall in 1 year is pretty crazy. It's got to be OSU or Boise getting moved/dropped.

These kind of games make sense to me. You want bigger names, but you don't want all your out of conference games vs. bigger names. You might want a I-AA school, but only one. That leaves playing regional teams from G5 teams as the next logical place to fill out the schedule and those pretty much have to be 1 and 1s unless you have a lot of extra cash.
