Memphis is killing it lately but don't start looking down your nose at a school you went 6-2 against (5 straight losses) the past decade.
If Memphis and ECU are so elitist now maybe they should only play confrence games because nobody is good enough for them now.

I want ECU to get in trouble and the NCAA sanctions be ECU fans have to cheer for Marshall

Sheesh. My post was directed at the Marshall fans who will troll this place endlessly if Marshall wins. Not at Cincy. Not at anyone else. A Cincy fan brough Memphis into the conversation, not me. If Memphis had a game with Marshall I would have made the exact same post.

And contrary to what the poster seemed to imply, I don't think Memphis fans compare with Marshall fans in that regard.

Really comes down to this...

UC wants the schedule harder than the AAC (I'm sure that sounds silly THIS YEAR but I think that's still the mentality) but doesn't want OOC buy games in either direction. That means taking the best h+h opponents you can. We've pretty much taken every 1+1 we could find from P5 teams and we're now using Boise, BYU, Marshall, etc as the best challenges that will do H+H. Bonus points for Marshall being close. We did a similar series with Toledo recently.

FWIW, this is a fun way to schedule for fans. It's a lot more fun to every Saturday have a close AAC matchup or else a BYU/Marshall/Boise than to have your OOC be Ohio st, Miami OH, 1-AA where you can pretty much name your wins and losses preseason.

UCF fans should know, the Knights never lost a CUSA Road game at Marshall, winning all 4 games played in Huntington.
