I really thought ULM would be at least 2nd. Return all starters from last year, but one. Added really good newcomers, and got a lot of extra playing and practice time going so deep in the CBI. Wouldn't be surprised to see us win conference next year.

I think at least one of hervey. neal, or bilbao from uta should have been on the preseason best list at some level.

I think it's fair to say the Cajuns were tabbed first because Shawn Long decided to return for his senior year. Everyone pretty much figured him a goner! So we get basically everyone back from a decent team (that was young), and added depth. I'll be very disappointed if this team isn't in post season (NCAA or NIT).

At least USA can count on at least 2 wins this year if it's the same Cajun team as last year 05-stirthepot

App is in the 2nd year of a major, major rebuilding. Fox will have his system firmly in place but not sure he has the horses to win on a night in and night out basis. Finishing 6th or higher would be an accomplishment.

In fairness gotta take a wait and see approach. I believe he will play well but I think someone else will be the man. Either way I'm reall excited to see.

"Wait and see approach" for what? Hollowell is better than Crider and Ware, and they are second team all conference. There are not ten better players in this conference.

I don't see any way A-State is close to 4th. I think Little Rock is going to surprise some.

He is but transfers do sometimes not work out or don't live up to expectations. I think when it's said and done he will be alright for us. Along with Williams I think we will have decent deeper team. But I don't think they will be of the harrow type. Like I said earlier I'm very surprised ULM is higher.

RE: Sun Belt Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll
Yes we are stacked this year and COULD be very good our problem is by tabbing Long as the POY after thinking he was player of the year the last two years(in his head) will only make him press too hard to prove everyone right which will mess up the chemistry on the team. JMO we will be decent and whomever wins the conference will not run away with it.

Leads the country in rebounds and double doubles, 2nd in scoring... If he is soft what does that make the league?

When he can stay out of foul trouble, he has no rivals on the inside in this league.

It'll be interesting to watch the UL-GSU rivalry again. I would switch the positions of the two and put GSU 1st in the league. But, time will tell.

Real soft.

Why can't your limp players put up those numbers in this real soft league?
