When will they learn
Has anyone else out there had all they can take of the whole Student-Athlete of the Year / Week ect ... stuff? I just don't understanmd why Preseason Player of the Year is so offensive.
Must be a projected weak season if they picked us 4th.

Pretty sure it's a PR issue not a PC issue.

Welcome to the new United States of America... where everyone is a p*s*y.

TXST will finish better that 8th this year... I'd put money on it.

I had to double check to make sure I didn't mix Texas State and Arkansas State up. I thought you guys would be higher. Did you lose any key contributers?
Interesting. I'd put the Louisiana schools at the top and figure the rest are wait-and-see. We lose our best players and drop from 1 to 2. Southern loses their best player and drops from 2 to...10? Yeah, there's a lot of wait-and-see.

I do think the two Louisiana teams are good picks for the top, though.
I think Arkansas State is overrated pretty badly but beyond that, it looks about right. GS and GSU are both losing a lot from last year, but GS looks to be rebuilding while GSU looks to be reloading.
Nothing that should put us at 8th place.

We lost 3 seniors total. Davis and Brown were 7pt scorers and solid defenders, but we return most of our best players. - 4 of our 5 best scorers last year, our best rebounders, some solid defenders..
there is a total of 4 juniors and 3 seniors on this year's team I believe.

My predicted starting line-up: Gant, Black, Montalvo, Naylor, Gilder-Tilbury

I really think we could win 20+ finish top 4ish in the belt and make some noise at the conference tournament
Eighth?

Think they must have confused our Basketball Team for our Football Team . . .

Davis is a huge loss. He was far and away our best defender last year and was routinely tasked with guarding every opponents' best offensive player.

Sounds like Ojai Black is looking really good at PG, so I'm not too concerned about Brown's departure.

Don't forget also Jamarcus Weatherspoon transferred to Southern. That's another key contributor to replace.

I wouldn't say we were slighted. I mean we did finish 9th in the league last year.

Gant was our only real weapon offensively last year. Both Naylor and Tilbury were inconsistent. They are both going to have to be a lot better this year. Montalvo was a borderline disappointment in my opinion last year also. If he can't knock more shots down he's useless to us.

I'm willing to bet at least one newcomer will start the first game of the year. Maybe Anthony Roberson. We need someone to play the 3.

Me too.
No way on this earth Jeremy Hollowell from GSU is a third team player. This guy is easily one of the top 3-4 players in this league.

In fairness gotta take a wait and see approach. I believe he will play well but I think someone else will be the man. Either way I'm reall excited to see.
Georgia Southern will be better than 10th, I guarantee it.
Ah yes, the time of year when fans say I guarantee my team will be better than ___ because _____ is a great player and ______ will make a difference.
We were picked to finish 8th last year. How'd that work out? Yeah, I feel pretty confident we're a mid-level team.

I really thought ULM would be at least 2nd. Return all starters from last year, but one. Added really good newcomers, and got a lot of extra playing and practice time going so deep in the CBI. Wouldn't be surprised to see us win conference next year.
