Baylor's problem is with their pathetic OOC schedule, they have NO margin for error. Hell there are folks around that think they could go 12-0 and get passed up by a 12-1 SEC or Pac 12 champ. Sorry- but that's just reality. When you schedule like a *****, you lose a lot of leverage.
I said with VT 2011, that going into the last weekend they would have had a chance to make the playoff with a win......
The SEC is just as bad. If Alabama doesn't play in the CC this year they will play the same number of P5 games as Baylor thanks to their game with Wisconsin. Then their OOC includes Middle Tenn, ULM and Charleston Southern. Auburn is the same playing Louisville for their 9th P5 game and then have Jacksonville St., San Jose St., and Idaho. Give me a break on how awful the Baylor schedule is. I'm not saying it couldn't and shouldn't be better but it isn't the worst of the P5 teams.
Where it is different though is if Alabama or Auburn does play in the CCG- that is a 10th P5 game.
Just looking- the only teams that don't play a P5 game ooc in the SEC-
Missouri
Vanderbilt
Miss St
Ole Miss
Vandy and Miss St expected to be at the Cellar this year. Missouri does have BYU. Only Ole Miss- and they do have Fresno and Memphis.
But let's say the following teams win:
Alabama- would have Wisconsin, 8 SEC games, CCG
Auburn- would have Louisville, 8 SEC games, CCG
LSU- would have Syracuse, 8 SEC games, CCG
Georgia- would have Georgia tech, 8 SEC games, CCG
need I remind you-
Baylor- SMU, Lamar, Rice, and no CCG.
Sorry, but there is absolutely NO defending the Baylor OOC schedule. It is complete and total JUNK. It's not even on the same planet as SEC whoever wins the SEC.
