WSET in Lynchburg played all our ASN games last year on one of thier sub channels. I picked them up OTA outside Roanoke. I think MASN had a lot of those on Cox cable. I haven't looked into this weeks game yet though.

Yep, RetroTV (WSET-2) is what I was watching last year. It's currently showing the Rice/Wagner game on tv. Were you able to pick up RetroTV on an HD antenna last year? What kind of antenna do you have? An indoor one?

I may go buy an antenna anyway because RetroTV is in standard definition thru cox for me.

They're streamed most of them online for free last year. Was awesome and HD quality.

Not sure why they're not doing it this year. I'd gladly pay 5-10 per month during football season to stream asn games.

I live in Boones Mill so I need a rooftop antenna to get Ch 13 out of Lynchburg. I remember it being tough to get it in Roanoke with rabbit ears too.

Maybe since our game just got picked up by ASN they haven't changed the schedule yet but will. Hopefully. I'm going to send an email request to the station on Monday.

Last year there was a Liberty home game on the same time as ours on Retro but our game was picked up by the CW 27.2.

If you're near Roanoke we should do a viewing party somewhere this season. I think there's a few Roanoke Monarchs on here.

Me too NN i definitely miss that streaming and now the retarted WATL won't air the ODU-EMU game but rather Rice-Wagner

The game is still on the ESPN3 schedule. EMU's website also has it listed. God bless my Google Chromecast.

Dr. Chandler basically said no ASN streaming this year in reference to why Monarch Media doesn't have the game in the Marketing Q&A.

The Richmond Affiliate still has the Wagner-Rice game listed. Keep hoping to see that change.

No excuse for it not to be shown in state, that should be a mandatory part of the agreement. I bet it changes. Several times last year they didn't list it until the day before.

I was afraid it wouldn't get broad coverage since it was a last minute decision. The same thing happened with Marshall-UAB last year. Most affiliates already chose programming by the time ASN picked up the game.

I sent an e-mail to my local station (WSET - Lynchburg) earlier in the week and sent one today to ASN. WSET has not responded yet but ASN just replied back. My message and response below.

My message:

"I was wondering what the status of the ODU vs. EMU game was for this Saturday. We've heard that it was being picked up by ASN (originally ESPN3) but I'm not seeing it on my local station's schedule or on your website. I contacted my local station (WSET Lynchburg VA) earlier in the week but have not heard back from them yet.

Also, do you expect to have streaming available on your website this season?

We are still waiting for clearances from our local stations. We hope to have it posted today.
As for streaming, as of now we won't be streaming football but hope to have an announcement soon."
