RE: FSU vs. Alabama
FSU better figure out what they're doing on D...
I'm not sold on their current D coordinator at all....they were awful last year, and completely under-performing for the talent they have on D....
Also, cool FSU has Gholson this year, but next year they'll be green again....
My early line is Alabama -13

Well good thing they wont have Bama next year then..
Of course it is neutral site. None of these SEC teams will do a home and home with FSU. Knew Alabama would at least play the school though so thank God for that. If only LSU, Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia had the backbone to do so.

Auburn is the only one on that list capable of beating FSU at least 1/3 of the time... TBH, I think Alabama is a 50/50 proposition vs. FSU. That's the REAL reason they avoid the Semnoles, IMHO.

What other reason had been proposed?

"We just can't work it into our schedule"... "we can't afford the return trip"... "I was planning on washing my hair that day"... yada, yada...

I'm guessing this will be the grand opening of the new Atlanta Dome.

Doubt it - I suspect the Falcons will play a pre-season game to open the building.

LSU was rumored to have rebuked talks a year or two ago.

Playing FSU does nothing to eliminate the national stigma the 'the SEC won't play P5 schools outside of the Southeast', despite all scheduling evidence to the contrary.

Whatever excuse you guys want to make. The bottom line is the almighty SEC has avoided FSU for years.

Can't make everyone happy. Besides, FSU plays an SEC team every year anyway.

Yep because the state legislature forced it. UF tried to stop playing FSU too before it was ordered by the government...
It's alright. Just take that crap on the SEC powers playing anyone anywhere and stick it up your backsides. Most of the SEC avoids FSU and every educated college football fan can see it.
