There will be 2 brand new arenas less than 1 mile and no place has more hotels, food and shopping.
The first venue will be the cowboys indoor practice facility, holds 15k the second is the Dallas star practice facility that holds 8k.
Frisco also hosts the FCS championship game and has received nothing but exceptional response.
You will be within walking distance from 25 restaurants and Stonebriar Mall.

I am pretty damn sure Frisco would put out a bid that would dwarf any other. I guess I will call Jerry and make it happen.
I've already proposed --months ago-- that CUSA move their CUSA Tournament to the Allen Events Center (holds 8K for basketball) in Allen, TX. That's only about 10 miles from the Frisco, TX site you proposed. Fact is, CUSA could hold the men's Tournament at one site and the Women's at another. It would be a HUGE success, because everything around here is. And these folks are professionals...they know how to run events without all the Mickey Mouse shenanigans.
CUSA basketball tournaments will only be a huge success when they're near a fanbase that actually cares and will support their team.
The only schools that are a reasonable distance from Dallas are La Tech, UNT, and UTSA.
Rice and UTEP. And all of the above have a lot of alumni in Dallas. The drive from Hattisburg looks about the same as my drive to Birmingham.
Rice, UTSA, La Tech, and UNT combined probably barely average enough to fill an 8,000 seat arena. Attendance at all those schools is not very good.
Cut it to about 1/10 of that (or worse) to get a realistic idea of how many people would actually travel for the tournament.
If we're going to rely on UTEP fans to provide most of the fans in Dallas, just have the tournament in El Paso where it has been a success in the past.
exactly.
