Ohio will pull out all the stops for us, they hate our guts and want to end the series with a win at home - where we historically don't play well.

I don't think Darrell Hazell is that good of a coach or recruiter. He took Kent to a 11-3 record in 2012 on the backs of Doug Martin's recruiting and promptly left town. He is 4-20 at Purdue (1-11, 3-9) his 4 wins are Indiana State, Western Michigan, Southern Illinois and Illinois.

Hazell reminds me of Turner Gill and Al Golden. Both Gill and Golden skipped town on the 1st other job offer to come their way and have fallen on their face (Gill) or are falling on their face (Golden). Unless Golden wins 9-10 games this year I don't see him surviving at Miami.

But we held on for the win. It would have been the biggest comeback in Bowl Game History had Central Michigan actually won the game. Instead, they scored 34 points in a row but we won the game 49-48.

They lost on a failed 2 pt or 4th down or something like that, right?

We won on the last play of the game. They went for a 2 point conversion and we broke up the pass in the end zone.

Wonderful being wonderful again(WOnderful Terry played exceptional defense on last play by UCM)....If that guy comes up with some of the plays he made again this season, he will go down as one of the most clutch athletes ever for WKU football...his highlight real last season was "wonderful" and unreal at the same time...

FIU +16 at UCF
UTSA +30 at AZ
Charlotte +7.5 at GaSt
WKU +1.5 at Vandy
UTEP +34.5 at Arkansas
FAU +6 at Tulsa

Is Tulsa expected to be this much improved over the last year? I realize that we are slated to be #4-#5 in the C-USA East with a 3-9 or 4-8 record, but Tulsa were totally horrible last year!

ron.....i can't speak for marshall but i am fully qualified to speak on western.

i've been following them for many, many mango seasons. since i was a 11 year old watching games through the fence and going in at halftime for free back in 1970.

western has had some very good football teams throughout my life. same goes for basketball.

but every single time we're set up with a good looking thing. we 'pull a western'. i coined that phrase and it's actually been used a lot on the home boards. 'pulling a western' is when everything looks great....people are noticing.....chance to make a name....and we choke out our ass....usually with tv involved. see our bowl game last year. we tried our damndest to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. even though we won i felt we 'pulled a western'.

now i honestly believe we should beat vandy. and it shouldn't be a big upset. but there's a gnawing in the back of my head. in the bottom part right where it attaches to my neck.

so if i was you.....i'd think twice about laying down any actual money.

"Pull a Tech" has already been coined, we've been "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" for years. See Northwestern State (Football) and NC State (Basketball) this past year 03-banghead

The official C-USA term is "Cooged it" when your team does that. Even though UH has left the conference, the term remains. 02-13-banana

Absolutely. Cooged it is the one.
