I saw no evidence that he opposed federal relief for Sandy, only that he opposed a $50 billion bill in which a fraction of it went to relief. You are grasping at straws.

but see, that is how democrats like to point fingers at republicans. They propose huge bills that costs billions of dollars, but they toss in a small amount of money to go to something like relief which amounts to a million dollars or so, and when the billions of spending gets shut down, because it is billions of spending, they will pick out the smallest part of the bill and point fingers to say that republicans were against that one little piece.

I said this in the other thread, its amazing how Reid and Pelosi's do nothing congress could quickly stack a sh*tload of pork into an emergency bill.

The Sandy Relief bill was so stuffed with pork it should've squealed. Go to the link in the other thread and read the kind of crap that was attached to the relief money. It's appalling that congresspeople on both sides of the aisle would try and take advantage of a natural disaster to bring pork to their home states.
In an emergency like Hurricane Sandy you would think Congress could write and pass a clean bill for relief only.

This is usually the place where you use the handy-dandy 'Search' feature above and find one or more instances to back up your claim.

But it is certainly implied in Bizzle's post and the stories that 'the left' is spreading about this.... and quite honestly, this is WHY it happens by both parties.
Cruz wants Federal relief for disasters. He doesn't want 'pork' packed into such bills. Politics aside, isn't that what we ALL want? Rather than accept or understand the difference, we fall victim to stories like these which only lead to politicians who oppose wasteful spending to be voted out of office and those who pass pork to be re-elected.
We are doing nothing but encouraging politicians to be wasteful and lie to us.

I have no problem if Cruz simply opposing unnecessary bloat, but he should be called out if the bill he wants is loaded with the same type bloat.

Did anyone actually read the "Sandy Relief" bill? There was so much unrelated pork and nonsense attached to it that I'm glad people voted against it.

Yes he should, but I havent seent him do that yet. The OP article was a horrendously worded article to make Cruz look like a flip-flopper. That was nothing other than liberal propaganda written for people who cant think for themselves.
