Since losing to us, Miami is 5-1. Since losing to us, NIU is 3-0. Hmm.

Better them than CMU. I can't stand that thought.

RE: ball st game
Alright, as far as I can tell, here are the scenarios for us:
-If we beat Toledo, we can do no worse than the #9 seed.
-If we beat Toledo, Miami loses to Ohio, and BG loses to Buffalo, we get the #8 seed and host Miami (or possibly NIU). If we win and Miami or BG win, we go to Millett. If Miami wins and Akron loses, we go to Akron (Miami beat Akron twice).
-If we lose and NIU loses, we get the #9 seed and go to Millett. If we lose and NIU wins, we fall to the #11 seed and go to either WMU or Akron.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. Just observing the standings and tie breaker rules.
All in all, we really need to win or NIU to lose. We definitely would rather go to Miami than WMU or Akron.

Super, I do not follow your comment.
I tempted to say it is a non sequitur, but I'm not sure what conclusion to draw about teams which go on a run after playing us (and losing).
I tempted to say playing us makes other teams better but I haven't flushed out the logic. It might be after playing our zone, that their offenses perk up playing less difficult defensive teams. I believe Chad said we were (still) #7 in the NCAAs in FG% defense.

when you have to depend on others to lose to get a good place at the table you're not that good.

Ughhh. Looks like we are going to Millett again (assuming WMU beats NIU tonight). That Miami team looked awful in Ypsi. How are they beating all of these teams at the top of the conference?
Such a weird year.
i don't get it either. i was running my mouth about how Miami was one of the worst MAC teams in recent memory.
From that game against EMU at Millett Hall that I saw live, the best way I can put Miami is that they might not be the most talented group, but they can get really streaky at times nailing lots of shots and they will play just as hard as anybody. I couldn't quite get over the reaction from their fan base about how they thought their team wasn't that good when I just saw them make an absolutely ridiculous comeback. It's just they are one of those feast or famine teams and right now they're streaking in the correct way.
Bottom line though, it's a shame though that EMU peaked in the MAC season in the first half of the second game.
As for who we would want to play in the MAC tournament... Honestly, at this point this team deserves to go on the road. If they're as "good" as we thought they were or as good as they think they are, they will find a way to win either at Akron, at WMU or at Miami and take their chances in Cleveland.

Interesting if playing us HELPS other teams.
After BSU beat us to open the season, they beat CMU handily (before going on a 15 game losing streak).
BTW, if I followed the webcast correctly, BSU thinks that their best player is a player sitting out as a transfer.
There will be big changes in the MAC next year talent wise.
