I also confused GTS with that comment. Please note my comment to GTS two posts down. My disagreement is based upon why the hell they need that information in the first place, not the specific choices given.

I honestly just don't understand how you people expend so much energy over such an objectively trivial matter. They probably added those options because some marketing firm claimed it made people feel more inclusive or it provided better demographic information for their marketing. The idea that a piece of software like this is part of some conscious social movement into dishevel is so weird.

If you think something this small is a sign of sure social collapse or deterioration, you have a terribly fragile existence.

I have a problem with anybody that requires you enter information of a personal nature that has no bearing on whatever service they provide. Especially in this day and age where it has become obvious that the personal information you give them is in no way secure.
