I definitely agree that we will be more athletic at the guard spot. But we have a lot of points to replace, and aside from Stith, I'm not sure we have any shooters. Hard to win in today's game without consistent perimeter shooting, as we have seen over the past few years.

I think that is where Fields is going to be a valuable addition to the team.

We should be good defensively and rebounding wise, but will have to get out in transition a little more and take advantage of our length on the offensive side. They type of team should be better prepared for the new hand checking rules if they put a focus on getting to the basket, which I think we have the talent to do. I haven't seen any studies, but I bet the most efficient teams in basketball last year got to the line a lot.

And no mention of Kah, who is supposed to be as good as we have on the roster. I'm expecting a couple great years coming up!

Going to be fun seeing how JJ puts this team together.

I thought it was odd that there was no mention of Kah in the interview, but may have just been an oversight because of the direction of the interview. I hope we will see great things from Kah the next few years. We will need his size down low and hope he will become an offensive threat under the basket.

I don't think Kah is going to be much down low unless he pus on a bunch of weight. He's more of a face the basket/stretch the floor type power forward (which I think fits well with Stith/Porter and slashers like Talley)

When Hatfield went with the local angle and mentioned the time crunch, I think that took care of Kah talk. Barely any mention of Denzel, virtually no mention of Pinkney. Lots of guys, little time.

yeah, mostly just talk of the new faces we'll see on the court. didn't mention Brandon Stith, taylor, baker that much at all.

This is definitely a year I wish they'd bring back the Blue-White game just so we can learn the line-up before the season starts!

Kah was mentioned in the interview, it was right after they talked about Porter. Although it was just a quick line about the flexibility of our lineups with Kah and Taylor as other examples of our front court.

Sounds like we might force teams to live and die by the jump shot and 3's based on the shot blocking we'll have down low. Take that and put Talley the other Stith and Caver who's quick out on the outside and we might be one of the best defensive teams in the country.

he also talked a lot about Talley. seems a lot of folks are in agreement that he has a pretty high ceiling. lets hope he's able to put it all together.

one thing not really talked about in the interview that is nice is that barring some unforeseen circumstances, we should have the same starting lineup this season and next season. might be the first time that's happened since JJ got here.

I was actually thinking that too. a lot of people think it'll be Stith-Kah as the starters in the front court. at the same time it appears that we have some legit depth there so it might not matter all that much who starts. if they all can contribute they all will play...I've also read on there that Porter and Stith can't play at the same time. how valid is that?
