I was thinking the same thing. As a matter of fact I was thinking he looked absolutely great. Uses both hands well, handles the ball extremely well for a big man, has a nice looking shot. As a matter of fact when watching that video I was thinking this kid looks like he could play for Duke.

Didn't some other hot shot from Alaska play for Duke a while back??

I was thinking he looked like a Duke player too. Makes sense now that I see he is a nearly a top 50 player.

From what I have heard...Would have a really tough time getting him in. Could be headed to Marshall if you know what I mean.

One would think a school like Cape Henry would have impressive tutoring and academic support. I hope thats not true about Simpkins. Sounds like he has the talent to get a free education somewhere if he can get the grades.

He goes to Bishop Sullivan but yes, you are till correct.

One of you guys said you spoke with him and he listed his top three as :
#1 ODU
#2 JMU
#3 Marshall

Not sure what that means in regards to us recruiting him though.

#1 the school he wants to go to
#2 the school that managed to get Snowden in
#3 the school that manages to get everyone in

That's a good one!
But, do WE actually want him, that's my point. His stats are very impressive for sure.

I know that he has a serious academic issue. I believe he will end up at Marshall.

Odell Hodge had a learning disability. The school recruited him anyhow and worked with him. He did just fine with some extra tutoring. If this young man has a learning disability, that shouldn't automatically disqualify him. If it's an intellectual disability or bad attitude, that is another story.
