Maliek White just committed to Providence.

Damn, that was a quick and painful response. LOL I suppose we are just about ready to move on to the '17 PG's.
Edit: I do recall a kid who had decommitted from OK or OK St. that we are/were on. I think he is a PG.

Main thing I notice in Green's highlight video is his eyes as he dribbles. His head is on a swivel the entire time he is pushing the ball. He has good vision and a playmaker's mentality. Seems like he may have a high basketball IQ.
Hope we can land and athletic big or two this season.

Hope having gone through a year of junior college ball at New Mexico Junior College elevated his game some. Having said that, not sure how serious our coaches are with his recruiting.
We have made numerous visits to nowhereville NM. Believe me when I say we want this kid.....very much!!!!!!!!
I think a recently read on a JUCO site that he is expected to be one of the top sophomore JUCO guards in the country this year. I trust that Jones and staff know what they want. He is not the type of coach to fill a scholarship with a "body."

I have seen numerous reports that say Green may be a better fit at the point. With BJ Stith at the 2 guard, they could be a very special backcourt. Plus add in Caver.

Our backcourt will present some nightmare match ups!

I agree. But it is a very tough sell for the caliber of recruit the coaching staff is after.
Coach Jones doesn't seem interested in "projects."

I'd say we now have our two point guards. Caver and Green! Everything I have read for a long time said Green was the very top target the coaches were after. And they got him! Great job by all our coaches.

Good article....I think Green can be a great fit. We are looking good, now let's get Allasane Kah and we will be Top 25. If Kah signs he will start next year.

It's a pretty strong statement to make to say Kah will start next year if he signs with us. Don't forget we have Porter and Colbert Sitting out this season. Also, throw in Brandon Stith and Denzel Taylor in the mix. We will be in good shape up front next season.

I hope the coaches can send Green a good workout plan. He's going to be a really good player for us, but he definitely has to build his body to compete in Conference USA.

He needs at least 25 lbs.

Yea. I agree with you. Taylor, Colbert, Porter, and Stith will probably be the best front court in CUSA next year. This coming year we make a small splash on the national scene and maybe make a decent tournament run but 2016-2017 we are going to make some serious noise. Once we get there we will be there to stay.

Going to be a tough transition in replacing Freeman and Bacote though and getting all the new pieces to mesh together. The ceiling might be higher for that team, but this year's team, in my opinion, has a better chance of verifying their ceiling.

I look at the physical development of each of our players over the last two off seasons and I don't see that as a problem at all. I think the staff knows eactly how to get these guys conditioned whether it's adding muscle mass for added rebounding ability, or power around the rim, or weight loss for added stamina in the case of Pervier. JJ and company seem to have a solid plan and know how to work it.

I don't see a problem with it either I was just stating that 6'6" and 170lbs. is gonna need some muscle weight.

I like your optimism, but easier said than done. There are always a lot of great programs out there, and all it takes is a very small stumble to differentiate a champion from a goat.

Agree with you 100% about 2016-17. Yes, we will take a step back at the point with the loss of Freeman but watch out for the rest of the roster. Porter, BJ Stith, are going to take us to another level. It sounds like Colbert is the real deal as well. This team has a bright future.

What are the odds we actually get Kah?
