He's 6'6" and can play some point. Someone told me yesterday he plays very smooth and has a great mid range game too.

I'm banking on Randy Hayes, the 6'5" Juco becoming a Monarch. When the coaches bring in two guards for a visit at the same time, that kinda says to me they wanted them both and wanted the guys to know each other. Of course, I could be wrong! Don't think Sheppard ever took an official visit to ODU, he seemed like a real long shot to me.

ODU has a tremendous foundation right now between Stith, Caver and Green. Those are three highly regarded players.

It is really difficult to build depth when you have talented underclassmen already on the roster. Honestly, the staff landing Green is super impressive. He's going to be awesome.

I watched HS highlight videos for Randy Haynes (Potomac High School, Dumfries, VA) and and came out not impressed. Hope having gone through a year of junior college ball at New Mexico Junior College elevated his game some. Having said that, not sure how serious our coaches are with his recruiting.

We have made numerous visits to nowhereville NM. Believe me when I say we want this kid.....very much!!!!!!!!

For what it's worth, if Coach Jones and his staff want this kid, I want him too!

Jones may want to look into employing a Blaine Taylor type zone, it will be damn near impossible to shoot over our guys.

At the very least, we could mix and match a zone depending on the team we are playing and their strengths/weaknesses.

Love his size for the position that he plays.

How do you feel about our chances with Maliek White? I still think we have room for a quality PG.
