Word is, Matt Coleman is heading to Oak Hill. Not sure how much that affects whatever chance ODU had of getting him, but losing proximity probably means the big-head in the Ted idea won't be as effective.

Eh, he won't be at as many games, but I think we still have the same somewhat slim chance we had prior.

Obviously he will get even more exposure down in Mouth of Wilson. But I think getting a year away from home now might just play in our favor when he's making his college choice next year. If the team is playing well and the crowd is supporting well and he wants some more time close to home, you just never know...

His "thing" is to be pessimistic.

I read Pegrams evaluation. Needs better handle, needs make better decisions, needs more consistent outside shot, 6'2", 170 not up to CUSA size, Not a true PG. Plays a little out of control. He just sounds a lot like Baker.Not bad, just not special.Last line most telling...not everyones cup of tea.. or words to that effect. Again, plenty of positives, makes his own shot, good defense, high motor...actually sounds more like a VCU type player. So I stand on my earlier comment, not excited. Of course the guy could turn out to be really special. He's got a season of high school ball left so who knows how much he might improve. Sorry, I'm just not gonna wet my panties every time we offer a kid a scholly.

Fair enough. My objective in posting offers to athletes is never to get people to "wet their panties," but rather to get the info on our board. I would love it if we land Matt Coleman, but I fear he may be a bit of a stretch for us at this point, even though he is local. There are certainly other options out there. I like that we are no longer putting all of our eggs in one basket, and that recruiting information seems to be more available to us than under BT.

No one is super excited about an offer. It's just a weird thing to post.

Kid has offers all over the place---from Cincy to Kennesaw St.

He's blowing up. His team (River City Reign) just defeated Team Loaded (NC), the #1 team in the nation this past weekend. I believe Loaded was loaning some players out but still.

I guess Mr. Pegram needs to get off his rear end and go watch this kid play. I'd hate to see what this clown thinks about Ahmad Caver....6-1, 160lbs...and we were his best offer. Probably not even CAA caliber. What a joke.

Can't wait to see Caver play Dad!

And regarding this new kid we offered. The coaches are the one's whose job and reputation are on the line, I'll trust them instead of some recruiting "expert". By the way, who is this alleged expert anyway?

I'm pretty sure Old Dominion, the poster, was disagreeing with the evaluation. Corey Pegram is nothing but complimentary of White.

Thanks for the update,Painted. MW sounds like a very exciting player to watch, I hope we are lucky enough to land a guy that likes to push the ball up the floor and play an exciting brand of bball. I also think Coach Jones would like for us to be a little more uptempo.

I'm posting this because I know we offered him. Sacha Killeya-Jones, 6'10 PF, has re-opened his recruiting (UVA commit.)
