My first task as DB coach would be to bench Von Hutchins! Oh wait...he's a senior. Well good riddance!

MC, would you be willing to blitz every down?

damn right. I am real big on bringing heat from the outside. I really like what we did against fl. last year. Bringing two from the same side, which there was only one rb. He had to pick the qb's poison. I like trying to make mismatches with db's.....Am I hired? :D

also can't go wrong with a LB blitz!

Well, I don't really know much about football other than I like to watch it, especially when we're winning.

Can I be head coach? 04-cheers

My prediction is next year is another 6-6 or 7-5. I must commend Butts though for finally realizing just what a QB Eli was and let him play and actually throw down field a bit. But this is the coach that has made one mistake after another including keeping E on the bench for two years, one of the dumbest decisions in college football history. You look at what Peyton did for the Vols program. I believe the same opportunity was kind of squandered at UM. But a 9-3 season is incredible considering what I witnessed at that first game with the Vanderbilt girls team. I thought we were finished then. I think though if we want to get back to championship status in the SEC, we need to follow LSU's lead, pay the money and hire a winner. Its that simple

Surely you jest, JBR. You sound like Chance the gardener, a/k/a Chauncey Gardner, in "Being There." 03-wink

Well, Miss. Parker 03-wink , I only wish I was kidding. Apparently, all you have to do to be the HC for the Ole Miss Rebels is be on heck of a nice guy.

I can be *real* nice when I want to be! 03-lol

Plus, I've got a lot of experience with X's and O's. Sure, XBOX might not be the same as game time play but it's pretty freakin' in depth!

I can agree with your prediction for next year.

However, I don't think that getting a top-dollar HC in here will get us back to championship status. We'll never be able to recruit the players that LSU lands, to use your example. I believe if Saban/Stoops(or someone else of their ilk) were at OM they would coach us to 8 and 9 win seasons frequently but would never get us to the NC. Why? Because they would run into the same recruiting problems that we've had for the last 30 years. We will always be a few players too short of NC status. The GREAT players don't want to come to Ole Miss. It is so sad but true.

I was good with the x's and O's when I was in college....that is why I spent lots of time at the Chi Omega house. 03-wink

(For those that don't understand what I am talking about - look at the Greek Alphabet for the letter that represents Chi and the one for Omega.) 03-lol

Chance the gardener was a really nice guy, too. How about Peter Sellers for H.C.? Wait...he's dead. Does that matter? 03-wink

I thought X's and O's meant hugs and kisses.

Could someone nominate me for trainer? I promise not to sue if I get mooned.

I've been called a lot of things in my time but I've never been called that! 04-cheers

When you exhibit your sardonic wit, Wry, please set it off with the appropriate signs. 03-wink
