I thought it was higher than that. I was there. I should have taken a picture from the visitor side.

I must say, UAB fans were a class act all around. Parking was a breeze, and traffic control was great after the game.

Was a great game and day all around.

Go DAWGS! BEAT BYE!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.

LA Tech is a good team, and we had to play a much cleaner game than we did today to have a chance.

And a word on attendance, the 9500 number is pure, unadulterated BS. I've been to enough games at Legion Field to know. I'd have put the number at 15-18K.

Tech brought a pretty good crowd. Easily our third best visiting crowd, behind Troy and Alabama A&M, two in-state schools.

Tech has taken decent crowds to USM and UAB. Traveling must be nice change for their fans from the WAC days.

Only thing that sucked was the 11:00am kick off. One side of my face and neck is sunburned to hell. Didn't think I'd need sunscreen. Next time I'll know better.

That's an understatement. Talked a former player and his family before the game. We joked that a 2 1/2 hour drive was much better than a 4 hour flight.

Hoping to come back for the basketball tournament in March.

Not my intent at all. If you HONESTLY believe that 9500 was accurate, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I had heard about the atmosphere there, but I was literally shocked at what I saw on the screen. Your team is very good and you're in a big metro area. I was just surprised.

I won't mentioned it again.

Good game blazers.

lol, I made the same mistake today.
The right side of my face and neck is burned. The left side is fine. I look really stupid right now.

One thing for sure if your QB is more accurate, you would have won this game.

He completed 63% of his passes. But for that atrocious interception, I thought he played a pretty good game.

I thought he did well too, he just missed a few wide open looks at the worst times.

UAB needs to be in a bowl game this year. They are building something special there and a bowl game would up their profile a good bit. I would absolutely hate to see their program damaged in anyway. They have great fans who put up with a whole lot more crap than anyone else.

It was more than 5,000. Again, why people like to dwell on our attendance is comical at this point. We play in a 70,000 seat stadium and average around 20,000 at game. If you put 10 people in a 2500 seat conference room, it's gonna look empty.

just for clarification, Legion field holds 71,594 people. You're home stadium would fit in that stadium 2.5 times.

From corner to corner each side holds ~28-30k. End zones hold 10-15k total. The images you see of the home side show that it is roughly half full. Worst estimates should be around 14k.

I was told they low balled attendance. they have done it all season. This came from a athletic department official. Even coach Clark has questioned it. This is what we are up against.
