RE: SchedulePalooza Part 2
As much as kill liked his time here, I'd be very surprised if they schedule a game with us at Huskie Stadium. Rutgers is logical at this time now for possibly building better recruiting relationships with high schools out here. My hope still is Vandy. Would love to make a nice long weekend in Nashville surrounded by Huskie fans. Would be a great trip.

but now we have 3 straight home games...
This year's schedule has to be one of the worst ever and the beloved MAC did us know favors either.

Could very well be. There's too much money to be made with a SF game to pass up. At least with the right opponent.
I just want to see us win a Soldier Field game!

Why is that though? I think 80% of us expected to NIU to be more competitive on that game. I thought it would get out of hand but certainly not in the fashion that it did. What is so demoralizing to me is that NIU's strength was dominated by Arkansas' weakness, some of that I feel is self-inflicted though which hurts. NIU should have made a better showing. The other demoralizing part, which is probably even moreso in my opinion, is just going forward. There is not one game NIU could win the rest of the way they would get credit for including the Sun Belt bowl game in Mobile, not because its fair but its because its just the perception out there. People speak of how poor the MAC is but I am frustrated with this conference for another reason and that is bowl-tie ins. I know you will never be able to work out a highly attractive bowl, but the way its set up now essentially provides no reward for the best team. The 5th MAC team in a bowl could very well be in a better post-season position than the best team which is just ludicrous.
I know people on here like to rip on MD.. but I think I get what he's saying... if I could go a step further, i guess my impression from watching the game was not that we lost.. it was we did things that have, of late, NOT been characteristic of NIU football.... special teams fails (failed fake punt, kickoff TD return), being a bit loose with the football so close to your endzone (UA's second TD)... idk... I'll be first to admit my expectations have soared over the past few years (not a bad thing)..it was just a bad flash from the past the nature of certain stretches in the game..
Def haven't had a game like that since Wilson's UW team in 2011

Hare almost did the same thing in the NW game (fumbling on a sack) and it would have easily been a TD for NW and could have changed that game. If you actually look at the 2 games before this...it wasn't like we looked fantastic, yes we were 3-0, but that was about it.

That would be incredible...seems like that would be the best case scenario

Agreed. Gotta be one in there. I also hope we find out that the Nebraska series has been modified.

SchedulePalooza Part 2
It would be great for a soldier field game to have a close-proximity team. Maybe Notre Dame, michigan state, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri. The atmosphere in the stadium would be great.
Other possible fun home and homes: Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Boise?, ECU, Cinci, Minnesota

RE: SchedulePalooza Part 2
Whoever guessed ole miss, I'd totally be down with that.
1. The grove, that's really reason enough to schedule a game
2. They're a program on the rise
3. They recruit chicago pretty well for a team down there. I know they Treadwell and at least one other area player
Man, I hope that one happens.

More guesses:
Home and away with WV (haven't played them since 1986)
Home and away with Cincinnatti
Home and away with Texas (Home at SF)
Home and away with Oklahoma (Home at SF)
Just having fun and having wild guesses.
Go Huskies!

We're due for a game against Boise. Make that a weeknight Thurs/Friday and I'd imagine we would have some good TV coverage.

The Arkansas offensive line is the biggest in football and yes that includes the NFL
