I think this is a good reason why you don't name stuff after coaches who are still your coach.

We got it far worse. Arkansas throttled Texas tech today for their first win over a major conference school in 2 years. Pig fans will be coming out of the woodwork tonight to celebrate.

Has this ever happened before? A conference to lose all of their games?

I'm pretty sure it happened back in the dark days.

Honestly, which teams are clearly worse than we expected? I would say Troy and UL are definitely. Not sure about any others yet.

I think the Georgia teams are better than expected so far and App is still TBD IMO. Most everyone else isn't far off from what the consensus expectation.

Saw this on the cusa board...ouch.

stole this from the App board:

Sun Belt this season vs.:

All FBS: 2-15

Other G5: 1-6

P5: 1-9

Average margin vs. All FBS: minus-18

13 of 15 losses by double figures

Its hard to say: Troy is certainly awful, Cajuns look nothing like the team experts had making an access bowl game. South and AState have been mixed bags of impressive at times, and unimpressive at others. ULM and NMSU are 2-1, but have exactly played top shelf competition to get there. Georgia State looks better than last year, but that's not saying much. Idaho is meh.

I'll withhold judgement on App until after Southern Miss next week.

The MAC only went 3-9 this weekend, as BGSU, NIU, and WMU all won on the road.

App should beat Southern Miss.

I imagine App beats Southern Miss unless USM has improved a lot since they played Alcorn State.

Yep, it is that bad. And there is really no reason for it to be THAT bad.

Next week is ultra important league wise:

ULL travels to Boise. Not a likely win...but its not impossible.

ASU hosts Utah State. Aggies haven't been impressive this year, and have to travel. Its certainly doable.

App travels to Southern Miss Eagles are horrible this year.

Texas State travels to Illinois. Illini are one of those bottom tier P5 teams we need to beat.

If we win 3 of those games next week...this week will be salvaged.

A lot of things should have happened that did not. "Should" means absolutely nothing today.

I will go ahead and tell you right now, no way in hell Texas St. beats Illinois...
