The day a UAB team intentionally injures a player to win is the last day I support that UAB team until every coach involved is gone.
Nobody said anything about injuring a player. He's already injured. If anything else becomes of it, it's on them. Rattle the QB. USM got to him 2 times. They won't think twice about driving our QB into the ground. I wasn't saying go all Ndamukong Suh/Nick Fairley on them but then again what's wrong with having a nasty d line. I mean, they have one of their own.

The first sentence of your post was "Play dirty on defense".

There is a difference between dirty and cheap. I don't support cheap shots, but I can live with some dirty play. As long as it isn't hurting the team, I'm okay with making sure the other team is aware we are there.

You're right. If y'all don't want to see a team with an attitude who wants to inflict pain on the opponent. We could always go back to the hand shake and pat on the back to the opposing RB or QB running by for an 80 yard td run.

How about a handshake and a pat on the back after dropping his ass for an 8 yard loss?
It's not an either/or proposition.
You can play hard, physical, AND clean.

Well... That doesn't sound so bad. It's not the usual chest bump with a teammate or sack celebration, but I guess they are supposed to have sportsmanship.

Sportsmanship. You make it sound like a unique concept.

RE: MSU game projection from their point of view
Look, it was a pathetic comment on my part to suggest dirty play. I'd like to apologize for making it. I wish I could take it back. It's embarrassing to me, it's not representative of me, of those on blazer talk, UAB, Clark and staff, or alums. Poor judgement and sportsmanship on behalf of me. It wasn't meant as go head hunting. It was meant, we have to put pressure on the QB. I could've found a better choice of words, but I shouldn't have said anything at all. Dak is a great QB. The best QB in the SEC. He is the most under-rated QB in college football. He's overcome a lot over the last few seasons. Well-deserving of heisman consideration. Hopefully he is at full strength for Saturday and we can overcome his and the bulldogs best shot. Can't wait to see them knock off UAT and Awbarn later this season. Once again, I apologize to those of you who read my comments as well as the Bulldog fans visiting the forum.

I think the first should have read " Make sure we hit throughout the whistle". M$U is going to do it. And we cannot retaliate. Let Dak get up more than once looking through his ear hole.
I don't like them Sam I am.

you are just making yourself look worse by advocating we try and injure the QB then lying about it.
first you say "Play dirty early on defense" followed by "Take the 15 yard penalty if it makes them pull the QB out of the game"
there is no other way to interpret that
then you try and defend it by more or less saying "hey if we hurt him its their fault because he is already injured". when you say something really stupid and responds unfavorably to it sometimes its best to just shut up and let it pass.

My point is, you can do all that, keep it between the whistles and keep it clean.

He said play dirty and take the 15yrds. Not the same thing.

I understand players would bite, twist ankles, arms, strike the stomach, kick in the groin and pinch in the pile, I even heard that some even use profanity....But I just don't believe they play football like that...anymore.

I don't know what's going to happen, but I bet we put up a better fight than USM did, and 55-6 strikes me as a trifle optimistic.
