For those of you who watched the game at home or did not make it into the stadium for the video introductions Carey gave us one last I dont know as far as the QBs go...

For the starting line up they announced and showed all 3 QBs. It was kind of funny.

The entry gates (where they scan your tickets) has also been expanded. They put up metal barriers to allow porta johns just outside the stadium but where you don't have to leave to get your hand stamped.

I would think this would be useful for the half time rush after some $2 beers for the 3 Saturday games.

When they announced after the coin toss that NIU had elected to defer, somebody behind me said it was Carey waiting until the last second to name a starting QB.

ESPN3 didn't show the defense starting lineup for NIU as far as I could tell. I know Rock-Boomer-Folliard-Ford was one of the most common linebacker lineups I saw, and I know people rotated a lot, but what was the predominant lineup on D for the new 3-4 scheme?

Good student attendance, so-so on the west side. I'd guess somewhere around 12K. I left at the half. Came straight from football, got pissed all over, saw us score 35, went home, hooked up the computer, watched the rest warm & dry.
Yeah, it would have taken a true diehard to stay for the second half of that one. If I still lived in Sycamore I would have watched the second half at home.

Sent from my iPhone.

Wofford(5-6) beat Presbyterian 55-14 last season with the Terriers giving up 187 Total Yards. Yep, Hard to tell. Northwestern will be a real test.
CMU looked embarrassingly horrible last night. Last night was not a real test for NIU, but Huskies did what they were supposed to do-kicked "A".

Chattanooga is a Top 25 FCS program. The Blue Hose are a bottom 25 FCS program.

You could see him on TV when the team walked into the tunnel at the end of the game. I looked for a walking boot...hell, anything...I couldn't tell what might be the matter. He had baggy red sweatpants on, so it was hard to tell.

LB starters were Lemon, Santa (OLB) Mays (MLB)

Meehan-Jones-Lee

Ford playing "Huskie"

Santa-Boomer-Lemon

Logan-Moore-Durante-(Mix of true freshman, Smalls started)

Folliard and Brandon Mays both played a lot as well.

RE: Presbyterian Game Thoughts QB
Lets get real everyone. None of our QB's can be accurately evaluated against this waste of a game we played yesterday. The game against NW will tell who has the capability of being the starting QB, imo.

+1, but I'm guessing Carey is only going to play one of them.

I dont know with the bad/short passes from Maddie you could eliminate him from being #1 for a bit longer. I agree with 7 though he would be a great breather QB for the #1 guy like Lynch was in 2011 for Harnish.

Ehhh, they were 8-4 last year and didn't quite make the D1AA playoffs. Good D1AA team, yes. But not among the power-FCS-programs.

If CMU is to be a "good MAC team", they played them like Chatty was a championship contender. BUT, we shall see. Maybe they are this year if on the upswing?

Either way though, CMU had it home opening night, too. And CMU didn't play well for 3 Quarters (the 3rd quarter CMU dominated).

What was up with the PA guy at the very beginning of the game. He sounded like he was stoned...talked quietly and mellow.

Presby still has to play NC State and Ole Miss this year, Lord have mercy. It reminds me of the crazy schedules NIU played as an independent, being served up as road kill to top 25 teams week after week.
