I know there are several attorneys in The Parliament, and I am wondering if one of you might recommend a Houston- or Austin-area attorney with expertise in divorce decree appeals. This is not for me but for an acquaintance who showed me her decree. (She lives between Houston and Austin.) I am not an attorney but it looked to me like the decree was full of inconsistencies and logical errors--so much so that I have to wonder if there is a case to be made that the judge mishandled the case.

Thanks!

Bucky Allshouse does divorces.

There's probably a case to be made that an attorney mishandled the drafting that decree, state court judges rarely review the divorce decrees they sign. Shane McFarland is a Rice alum, board certified in family law and an all around decent guy. Office is in Austin.

Unraveling or correcting a final order can be an expensive proposition.

Thank you all!!
