I don't recall ever having a thread on here about any other school in our state's uniforms, so maybe at least they are talking about it as ignorant as some of them are sometimes.

The Bama fan comments were no different than any other message board comments about another school. Several liked the helmet. Some didn't. Just like in this very thread. Most were commenting about how bad our facilities are and and how bad our attendance is (and was completely true).

I always thought dragons had thick skin. But I guess not.

Have you noticed... in EVERY ONE of these NATIONAL stories, we are referred to as UAB !!! Not once did I read an "Alabama-Birmingham".

We got what most wanted, a return of the BDH logo and people talking positively about the program.

Now if we can go win some games...

Yeah, I read the comments, and I was not alarmed. A lot of it was your typical condescending BS that we have come to expect, but in fairness, we are not above doing the same thing to other schools ourselves.

I would guess only 1/4th of those pictured are paid...or at least are paid staff. The students running video cameras, filling Powerade cups, fixing equipment, etc. get paid through work-study financial aid, and I would imagine that's subsidized to some extent if not 100%. I would definitely choose working with athletics over printing syllabi for the Arts & Humanities professors.

I really like the look and thought that the reveal video was great. Ready to get this season started!

1000 fans will want it 1000 different ways... most agree, its a change for the better. Let's just hope the uniform is not the only thing that doesnt resemble last year's team.
