Between this clown and "know the game" Chad has been responsible for bringing some pretty entertaining posters on this board.

Here's some facts...Chad got mad at this girl after she saw something on her laptop (that Chad had borrowed) and he beat the hell outta her. I saw the bruises, so unless there was spontaneous bruising, guess he had something to do with it.

Chad ran like a scalded dog, after he couldn't talk his way out of it. When he realized he was about to be charged, he vanished.

He has now been kicked off the basketball team and the charges are still pending.

The girl has no charges pending against her, in any state. She was totally innocent. And she has not been visiting Chad, since the night of the crime. Chad and others have called her and tried to pressured her to recant, and she didn't. She's here and Chad is gone.

Anything I leave out?

Lol funny thing is pictures of them together in charlotte a month after the "crime". On her Instagram and Facebook, text messages "I'm coming to Charlotte to see chad."Hmmm guess your fight though. Chad hasn't left bham either lol...your right though! Your one up on me!

Has Coach Haase made any statements about Chad withdrawing or being dismissed from the team? If not, then this is all a wasted thread of nonsense.

Coach Haase made a very vague statement saying he has been released from his scholarship. UAB's vagueness is what creates all the speculation.

RE: Chad Frazier Gone?
Coach Hasse will get the credit or the blame for Chad going.
However IMHO I guess he was kicked out by the school. WHY?

A little background colleges are under fire for domestic violence especially where athletics are involved. Congress this week passed a law making it easier to fine colleges up to1 percent of budget.

First the timing is consistent with not being readmitted to school for fall.

As far as known domestic violence criminal charges are still pending. Attorneys often refuse to let a student appear at a student discipline hearing in those circumstances. So the school may have had little choice.

Third Chad in a tweet thanked his Coaches which would be not normal reaction of most players if the coach had directly dismissed him

I have no doubt that he would still be on the team if it was up to the coaches. I don't know if he left in his own or if someone above Haase and Mackin kicked him off the team.

I agree that ultimately Haase gets the credit, whether he is responsible or not. The only reason this story has been picked up by national media is because of the current firestorm over Ray Rice, and in that light, UAB comes out looking good for a change.

I don't care if he was Michael Jordan, I'd rather my school do the right thing, even if that means we lose a good player for his senior year.

UAB is bigger than the basketball team, the basketball team is bigger than one person, and this will not be the last season UAB plays basketball or that Jerod Haase is its coach.

RE: Chad Frazier Gone?
As a source close to this unfortunate situation we thought after reading these posts, it would be best that people new a little more of what really went on...

Chad was provided his release due to the powers above Jared and Brian (the president) deeming him suspended from uab campus for the entire fall semester due to his actions..... This suspension became effective nearing the end of July onwards after an internal investigation was performed and an appeal effort by jared and chad were denied.

The administration made a mess of covering this unfortunate event up at the expense of winning. It was evident that winning meant more then being morally and ethically right. Fortunately President Watts had other thoughts and deemed this something the school could not ignore.

Although this was unfortunate for all involved, it is good that the school side of dealing with situations is moral. Hopefully Jared and Brian will take note from this in the future. Winning should not come at the expense of doing the wrong thing or turning a blind eye.

Excellent post. Too bad most won't (or refuse to) understand what the above post is really saying.

RE: Chad Frazier Gone?
That seemed like the most logical explanation of how this happened. I don't think anybody thought this wasa decision made by Haase. I get it, Haase is coaching to keep a job, and losing his star player doesn't help his cause. In march if we are a.500 team people aren't going to be like we're .500 but at least our coach booted our best player. It's a crappy situation, but there is nobody to blame but Chad.

But isn't he saying the Coach isn't the one who booted him? President watts made the decision to suspend him?

RE: Chad Frazier Gone?
President Watts made the decision to suspend chad for one semester and re-enrolment was dependant on counselling, anger management type courses etc. But we agree, jared was only trying to save his business, as was Brian. It did however show his true morals and values as a person. Recently at TCU a football player with a similar situation was kicked off the team by the athletic director directly, without involvement from the President of the university.

That's how I read it, that Mackin and Haase were trying to find a way to work things out and President Watts vetoed that. Suspending Chad for the entire fall semester would have been harsh, but it would have sent the message quite clearly that domestic abuse was not going to be tolerated.

Looks like another reason to respect Watts & question Mackin & Haase.

Haase may get a very slight pass on this, but it puts up a red flag.

One would think that it didn't need to go any higher than Mackin.

RE: Chad Frazier Gone?
I don't envy the job Haase has taken on. There is a fine line between winning, and winning the right way. I wouldn't want my job to depend on a bunch of 18-22 year olds behavior on and off the court. Ultimately it does.

I think it's safe to say Haase knows chad as well as anybody else at UAB. I'm sure he was basing his fight for Chad off of more than he is our best player. And Chad may have said f u guys when they told him he could be eligible again in January. I think the right decision was ultimately made, but I cannot bash Haase for trying to succeed at his job.(in the end it's about wins and losses. If you don't think so, look at our board during the season.).
