“When I finally found her address, I knocked on her door and brought her a pair of ruby slippers. When I interviewed Peggy, I was astonished that Peggy explained that she was now anti-Obama. She told me, ‘He was not who we thought or expected him to be.’”

“Truth and honesty are important,” Joseph explained to Gilbert in the film. “He lied about everything.”

I'm pretty sure Obama never said he would pay for people's gas and mortgage.

But when people started saying it Obama didn't correct them.

What's he going to do, call a press conference to state that? Will he also mention that the sun rises in the east, that the earth is round, and that the Pope is Catholic?

Simple for a 1/2 way competent communications team:

During a speech on Economic Policy President Obama goes 'off script'
" Look, what I'm promising is good for everyone. I'm not promising I'm going to pay your mortgage or put gas in your car. But I might buy everyone here free pizza. [pause for courtesy laugh]. What I'm talking about are doing things that will help you find a better job, make sure everyone pays their fare share, closing loop holes for the Fat Cats on Wall St. And in turn this will put more money in YOUR pocket. Make it possible to pay your mortgage, put gas in your car. Heck, maybe even order me a pizza. These are the things I want to accomplish. And with your help, I can accomplish that"
