RE: Lerner sought IRS audit of sitting GOP senator
Does Michelle pay for herself at all the Obama vacations? Does she buy her own Urr Force One ticket? Does she buy her own meals?
I'm 99.999% to 101% positive she doesn't. Lois can go finger herself for causing such a stink over a GOP guy getting the offer for dinner and his wife's dinner being paid for as well. What a miserable twat.

do we even know if he attended? it was an invitation, and, moreover, one that he apparently never actually received.

Wonder who ordered her to do this? Ockham's razor.
Quote:Congressional investigators have uncovered emails showing ex-IRS official Lois Lerner targeted a sitting Republican senator for an internal audit, a discovery one GOP lawmaker called "shocking."
The emails were published late Wednesday by the House Ways and Means Committee and pertain to the woman at the heart of the scandal over IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.
The emails appear to show Lerner mistakenly received an invitation intended for Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.
The event organizer apparently offered to pay for Grassley's wife to attend the event. The December 2012 emails show that in response, Lerner in turn suggested to an IRS colleague that the case be referred for an audit.
"Looked like they were inappropriately offering to pay for his wife. Perhaps we should refer to Exam?" she wrote.

Yeah...don't ever consider a plausible possibility...that wouldn't fit your agenda.

If he accepted the money, it would be his responsibility to report it on his taxes as income. If he failed to then there would be a problem. Accepting and reporting it is fine.

And she was "recommending" him for exam prior to their even going, if I heard correctly. Forget about whether he/they would properly declare the nominal sum. Not only that, zerO's hand picked appointee, or agent as it was, was in charge of Non-Profit compliance, or what ever her title was.
Had nothing to do with individual returns and recommending people for audits. Imagine, all this from one little additional e-mail that was uncovered from yet another source. Looks more and more that dear Lois had every reason in the world to take the 5th, and not simply because "it is her Constitutional right". And it looks more and more like Issa and others are correct in not rushing out to grant her immunity, either.
Wonder how Lois looks in orange. Wait. No I don't.

So once again...
Lerner screwed up. She didn't follow proper procedures and she didn't work to change horrible procedures the IRS was using. She oversaw a program that was not done ethically or properly. She deserved to be fired.
And again what you continually ignore is that our Constitution still grants her rights. One of which is to take the fifth and not incriminate herself.
Unless you're advocating that this right should be taken away, SHUT THE **** UP!
Have a nice day.

Lerner isn't in the right department to start an audit, she could only recommend.
Her hatred comes through well though.

you're assuming facts not in evidence. it was an invitation that, obviously, since it went to the wrong person, he never actually received. we don't now the name of the group, we don't know if he accepted, we don't know if his wife went if he accepted -- other than that the grand IRS dame of a$$ramming republicans wanted to initiate an improper investigation of a republican senator, we know nothing.

Sorry, might not have been clear. I'm assuming none of those things. Just pointing out IF he accepted, there would be nothing unlawful about that.
