For the good of the conference, I hope UTA beats the Cajuns for the second time this season tomorrow, you know, for the sake of getting two into the tourney.

Georgia Southern just blew a 7-0 lead in the SoCon Tourney...a win would get them to the finals. Now 7-7 in extra innings.

**** conference unity. You want two or more teams in the NCAA tourney, don't suck.

GSU beats Furman 10-7 in 12 innings and advances to tomorrow's SoCon Championship Game against Samford. Winner gets an NCAA Regionals bid.

It will be their last conference game as a SoCon Member.

Yep, we heard the conference unity from the ULM coach earlier last week. Its more important for the conference to have a national seed, a team that is a lot closer to getting to Omaha this year, rather than getting sent home early as a 4th seed!

You play to win the game! So we should try to lose so we can give up a national seed that way the sunbelt can have two teams in a regional.

Does that sound reasonable?

Actually for the good of the conference UT Arlington should take a knee for the good of the conference. No doubt that sounds stupid, but no more so than it would be better for the conference to have a dead duck team and one not a national seed. But by God we got two.

It is UL's responsibility to beat UT Arlington, and it is the Mavericks job to break our hearts. Enough for the good of the conference nonsense. let's get it on.

If UTA wins I think they will be a 3. That would be something like 13 or 14 straight wins for them...Selection committee would take that into account.

All I want is for Arkansas to end up in Lafayette for regionals and for the Cajuns to slaughter them.

Geezus Cajuns, it was just a joke. I thought a UTA fan wouldn't have to explain they actually want the Mavs to win because they are actual UTA fans and not fans of the SBC. So when I said I was rooting for UTA to win for the SBC, I didn't actually mean it.

That said, if we do win tomorrow, that would give us 11 straight wins and 4 top 25 victories. There's no way we are a 4 seed. Probably a 3rd and an outside chance at a 2, though highly unlikely.

If you win tomorrow , then UTA will have earned it. But, I want to get as certain to a national seed as possible. That only happens with a win over UTA. Its hard not to want a national seed for your program over another conference regional team.

I'll say that I don't see a way in heck that yall would be a 2 seed. Your RPI is just too low for that. I agree, I don't think you'll be a 4 (although more possible than being a 2 seed), but 2 is a big reach. Your RPI is at 94, and 2 seeds are considered to be in the top 36 in the country (figuratively speaking). If you could get a 2 seed with a win, you'd be considered for an atlarge with a loss, and it's just not close right now. That said, if we don't strap it in, yall are very capable of taking the championship from us.

Georgia Southern vs. Samford for SoCon title tomorrow. After losing our 1st game we have won 4 in a row to get to the championship game. I don't know who we have to pitch tomorrow but it will be interesting. Samford won 3 straight to get to champ game so they should be in much better shape than us who have played 5 games at this point.

The Furman game tonight was something else. We had it in in good shape but made 2 errors in the 9th and allowed Furman to score 3 unearned runs to tie the game at 7-7. We dodged bullets in the 10th and 11th innings but finally started hitting again in the 12th and won it.

We got Rodney'ed tonight. Kids hung tough. Where is Fagan and Yverlton? Both pitched very well this year. We keep running the same 3 guys out there 4 days in a row for 5 games. Alonzo gets shelled in game one, and pitches tonight on the longest leash ever invented. Frederick comes out and goes 2/3 of an inning with one soft single?

If we were to win today we would probably be put in a regional with ok. state at a 3 or 4..a win against such a good team as the cajuns may just get us a 3 but they are hard to beat. I am proud for our guys getting this far. they started out the season a little shaky and have worked hard to get things going.

No should or will take a knee. A silly thought. I think UL will win but it's not the end of the world if UTA does. Of course I am not a UL fan so that may colour my outlook.
