Shocker. No one could have ever expected that from you.

I watched online because I was halfway around the world. You watched online because you misunderstood an advertisement.

As I said before, I wasn't the only one that was confused by the ads which said that session tickets would get you into both men's and women's games.

Regardless, I only had $40 in my pocket and I wasn't going to pay $36 to watch a women's game.

Good for you. I'll be sure to inform UTEP and the players about your support.

That won't be necessary. UTEP has made it very clear that they only care about a certain segment of their fan base.

The old farts in the first ten rows that get angry if you actually stand up and cheer.

Well that's surprising. I thought you were the old fart in the back row complaining about the same thing, but now I realize that you're just the guy that just doesn't show up and complains to just complain.

Mostly correct. I used to show up and even was a season ticket holder until I realized that UTEP has no intention of moving into the new century but rather wants to bring back the 80's.

Horrible, indeed!

If it wasn't for Tim Floyd, we would not have had that 80's throwback season. If not for Tim Floyd, we would not be honoring former Miner legends. If not for Tim Floyd, Charlie Brown would not have been honored last year. The same Miner legend, and the first black athlete at UTEP, died this week. I am sure that honor gave his family some joy and distracted them momentarily from his illness. If not for that assistant from the 80's!

What a horrible idea, indeed. Bringing back the 80's?

There is nothing wrong with honoring Miners of the past. What I take issue with is playing like the Miners of the past. Frankly, I'd rather watch paint dry.

I get that some people enjoy fundamental basketball but the game has changed.

There is no fun in fundamental basketball.

But it's not just that.

I know everybody hates me because I complain about the direction UTEP athletics has taken.

It's a homer forum. I get that.

I just think UTEP can do much better. I've been watching UTEP sports since I was a kid ( over 30 years now) and I"m tired of everyone patting each other on the back for meritocracy.

It's time we demand better from our University.

You can't demand better without $$. And we all know where you stand on that issue.

I don't conform to the liberal policies of throwing more and more money at something and that will fix the problem.

There has to be accountability. Price had something like 6 straight losing seasons before we did anything about it.

Floyd is in year four with the Miners and still no NCAA tournaments.

I'm tired of all the excuses.

People in El Paso don't have the money to spend on a sub par sporting experience.

UTEP is producing a sub par sporting experience. Most El Pasoans are notgoing to spend their hard earned money on that.

You can't blame them.

The last time Fit used "Most El Pasoans" it was in regards to voting against the stadium... and look how that turned out.

Most El Pasoans don't vote. That is a fact.

Nice try.

Forget Kobe and Montana became all time greats athletes, Lucas a blockbuster film maker, fitbud an internet troll, let's emphasize some random isolated fact from decades ago to promote our agenda!

I'm not saying anything negative about Tim Floyd's accomplishments. I'm simply pointing out UTEP's desire to relive a time in their sports history rather than move forward and make a new history.

I disagree with their philosophy of going with the devil they know rather than having the guts to go out and write a new chapter in UTEP sports history.

Bob Stull AD from the 80's. Kuglar player from the 80's. Floyd coach from the 80's.

Can we please get into the new century already.

Looks to me like SMU did ok hiring Larry Brown, and he could have coached Tim Floyd as a kid.

Excellent example.

The Chihuahuas are giving El Paso an entertaining night for their money. That is why they are selling out on a regular basis.

That isn't happening at UTEP.

UTEP women is a different story. They are actually exciting to watch and are winning post season games.
