I get what you're trying to say, but I don't think you can automatically make the assumption that because they are posting grammatically incorrect on an informal website, that NIU is "passing out grades."

@MAC_Crootin: @scottp12 Coaches cannot comment on specific recruits, so all we can go off of are Jalen's words. He sounds committed to us.

There's no way edgytim would put his reputation on the line and write and article if he wasn't 100% certain this kid never had an offers. He said his source was rock solid and with the other stories out there it makes sense. It might be easier to believe if Miller had highlight tape and decent stats like other D1 recruits but he just doesn't. Also interestingly enough, he took NIU Commit off his twitter profile and just retweeted "Go Illini" haha

Who cares. He can say what he wants. It is April. over 9 months till signing day. To me, he is affecting his recruiting. Unless he is a superstar, he i will not get offers from some schools because of this. If he did have lower D1 ability his best chance might be 1AA or D2 level.

I'm considered a troll to the same 3-4 negative nancy's over there because they don't like my optimistic outlook on everything. I get it... but I'm just not really a glass half-empty kind of person.

Miller said he was committed to NIU when I talked to him earlier this week, but I agree with you all here that there's definitely something fishy going on with him. I probably wouldn't consider him a hard commit, but for the purposes of Hustle Belt, we had to consider him committed at the time of the interview because 247sports.com had him listed as a commit.

so Miller finally just posted his highlight tape, and ive gotta say its kind of bizarre.... Its not very long and he has plays of him overthrowing receivers for incompletions, underthrowing receivers, and just plain handing the ball off to a running back and thats it. Ive seen a ton of tape on recruits over the years and i just dont see how hes getting any D1 attention. I feel bad, not trying to be hard on the kid, but this still is just the most bizarre thing ive seen in all the years ive been following recruiting closely

That's probably the saddest highlight video I've ever seen. Kinda felt bad watching it (and posting this) honestly.

It looked like that entire video was against the same team. I don't really watch highlight videos, so maybe that is normal, but something tells me otherwise.
