Jalen Miller @J_Mill_5 20h
Blessed to say im going to commit to #NIU today! #TheHardWay #HuskieNation pic.twitter.com/cx1zHbiszQ
I posted this in the recruiting thread too as it seemed like it was more rumors, but now EdgyTim has also just wrote an article about this as well and he is extremely well respected when it comes to IL HS recruiting.
This cant be good...If a kid is tweeting that he committed to a school but never actually got an offer that puts the school in a pretty awkward position
From EdgyTim:
Did NIU land a verbal commitment on Saturday?
No.
Without naming any names, a kid has been out there pretending that he's been offered and has pledged to the Huskies.
Again I won't name names since it's kid and I would never want to openly make any kid look bad.
Just be aware that kids can and will lie whether knowingly or unknowingly more than ever these days. I have rock solid sources that have been trying to let this kid know what the deal is yet he still "runs" with it.
This becomes an issue for schools since kids who they have already extended an offer to or kids they already have received a verbal commitment from begin to panic and ask questions.
Here is what a I posted in the other thread. Interestingly enough, one comment is from an NIU player
while reading this article about Jalen Miller transferring from Julian to Thornwood this year, here are some of the comments posted. Its all blog comments so who knows whats real, but interesting nonetheless..

How does he have offers with no highlight tape and they were 3-6 and many of them games Julian didn't score

his ass suck.!!!! the lies he tells against raby julian had 28yrds of total offense if he is that good that would have never happened against a shakey raby defense

Jalen miller has 0 offers he might get mail from some colleges but that doesn't mean that is a offer..going to a junior day doesn't mean that they offered you..schools invited over a thousand kids to their junior days and no! A school do not have a thousand scholarships so if that kid thinks he has scholarships he is fooling himself...if the head coach of that team didn't sit in front of him and say we will like to offer you a full ride scholarship then it's not real

The Kid was not a very Good Quarterback! He's mechanically a mess.and for a two year starter his decision making ability was horrible, that led to a shortfield for the opposition if not a easy pick six and more losses for a once proud program!!!..When you put a kids in a position to fail that what happens,Bottom Line that was not the right type of offense for that kid to run.Hopefully Twood works better for him..
