Any pro league adding a team in Norfolk is likely cannibalizing a large chunk of the DC team's base. MLS's goal currently seems to lean toward reaching new areas. The Southeast is best reached through Atlanta.

By the way, Atlanta had a pro soccer team in the past.
They even won the NASL Championship in 1968.

Their home games were in walking distance of my house,
I still own an Atlanta Chiefs Jersey.

Nope, but Jonesboro was great place… thirty or forty years ago.

Kinda hoping the Riverhounds gets the promotion to MLS. I'd love to have an MLS team here in Pittsburgh.
