Think what you want about Geoff, but this article is spot on. Anyone who disagrees needs to have a conversation with someone close to the program. It's not a secret...

I don't know who Josh will hire, but I think he SHOULD hire an X's and O's guy. Having Josh, Aki, and Kirby gives us plenty of recruiting muscle. Those guys know basketball, but I wouldn't call them "tacticians".

Henry Bibby would make some sense. No idea if he'd be interested, but there is a connection.

I've got an idea. We could hire a really good 'girl' defensive mind. They don't need as much pay. 04-jawdrop

If any of them know how to coach defense, then make it so.

Gardner's spot is the #3 assistant slot, and currently pays about $90K a year. I doubt we find the guy everybody wants, at that price. Kirby and Collins are paid much more. Kirby actually is in his 50s, and has a stellar rep. Just not sure you're going to find a 3rd assistant to solve all the perceived shortcomings of the head coach.

we could outsource the position to China and get a couple dozen new assistants for the price of one in America.

I really wonder why people expect anything different from Josh. Olsen was never known as a defensive anything. For all the talent that has ever been at Arizona, all the pros, better than anyone else during Olsen's time, Zona only produced one championship.

The coaches Josh learned under were not adjustment style coaches. Cal rarely made in game adjustments. He just yelled for you to play harder.

If they take it it will be Miles Simon as next assistant and Alan Stein as S&C coach.....End of that discussion....And they would be homerun hires on both accounts.....One Dream, One Team, Memphis....All for one, One for all, All for Memphis.....The World Is Ours Memphis....Either jump on board this train, or get Run over by this train called, Memphis....
