Well there's two reports about what Obama and the Pope's meeting entailed.. The WH has a version and the Vatican has a version.. I'm gonna have to go with what the Vatican says.

Sorry, my friend, but I'm not Catholic and I don't think he's God's man on earth. It's just a Catholic fallacy like so many others out there. But if you believe it, more power to you.

I'm not Catholic either, but I like Pope Francis. He seems to be a very humble and level headed man. What would he gain about giving a false account from the meeting?

He might have supported his comrade-in-arms, by virtue of having an account that matched the President's characterization.
