I thought that the Virginia/Coastal Carolina game wasn't until later tonight and the Michigan State/Harvard game wasn't until tomorrow. I didn't know that they already won. Most people had Duke penciled in already too.

Throw out the records when the Chanticleers take on Virginia.

I should have said "most likely" path.

I would think that a Chanticleer would trump a Cavalier any day.

If they beat UMass which seems likely they will have to beat Mercer to go to the Sweet 16 and then beat the Michigan/Texas winner. Cameron Ridley against Stokes would be epic.

How did Ut ever lose a game? Pains me to say it but I am impressed. Stout defense.

Going to be an epic meltdown for UTee when UMass comes back in the second half and takes this game. I can dream.

Situational ethics here is incredible.

I don't recall fans bitching about the Oral Robert/Bucknell/Bradley gauntlet to get the E8 in 2006.

You win the games you gotta win. Simple as that.

That isn't the same path.

It would be:

Tigers

RD 64: GW
RD: 32 Virginia
S16: Mich State

Vols

Iowa (just to get in)
RD 64: UMass
RD: 32 Mercer
S16: Michigan

The good news is that if events continue as expected, Cuonzo Martin will remain the coach at UT, and will probably get a raise & extension if his team makes it to the Sweet 16.

Yes ...I thought UMass was overrated the whole year.

This morning Wolo was interviewing Kessling (whatever his name is) and asked what happened that caused the turn-around as of late.

Kessling said it was Antonio Barton. Said AB wasn't playing well and was dropped from the starting lineup. He took it hard and put in extra work daily. When he won the starting spot back he was a different player.

Probably for both Cuonzo and DK.

Cuonzo: 10th in SEC coaches salary at $1.3MM a year.

DK got a bump a couple years ago to $665K. (yep)

So, we could hire Cuonzo... bring DK in as his assistant and then go and hire another 650-750k assistant and still not equal what we pay Josh.

2.6 million is a small price to pay for knowing that your coach won't cuss. I know I sure sleep easier because of that fact

Factually, that is true.
