I encourage all of you to refer at all time to liberals with the Pro-Discrimination Left label they so proudly wear.

Yea, isn't it racist to assume latinos can't control their "passions"? That they would be prone to violence? What a prejudicial stereotype. .

I recall Daryl Gates being roundly criticized by the lefties for suggesting a need for heightened police presence prior to the Rodney King verdict. It was racist then to suggest there might be trouble, is it not racist now? Course we all saw how that worked out...

Where's our resident expert? Fit? You out there? 03-lmfao

I think it's now mandatory in the AUP.

Because San Francisco and flamed passion were both used... I decided to post some frisco (not to be confused with San Francisco) dykes...

And what do you say of the Conservative bashers here? Anything?

Seriously, are you the kind of gay guy that enjoys his life and his partner, or are you the activist that looks for drama and dresses up in flamboyant womens clothing? I don't mind the ones like my uncle that don't go dressing up like girls and trying to be an activist...

Your post would make sense in every state except California. Here's what would happen:

Upon arriving at the school the administrators would see the actions of the parents as disregarding their authority. They would then go on to say that the violence they tried to prevent will now most likely be caused by the parents, and using the 9th's ruling, they'll call the police and say they're worried about a bunch of angry parents out to start trouble. 5 minutes after the police show up the reporters will film one lone parent passionately debating the situation with the police. That night the news will show the video of that one guy and imply the entire group of parents were on the verge of getting out of control. A subtle implication will also be made about racism and tea party affiliations. The following morning lawyers for the school will apply for and get retraining orders against the parents who were at the school.

You never, ever take on California school administrators unless you're well armed and up for a long fight.

That state is so bad that God would probably feel it's in the same area as Sodom and Gomorrah when Abraham asked God if he would spare Sodom if Abraham could find 50 righteous people. I don't think you'll find that many in San Francisco that's for sure.

You don't get it. The two students deliberately wore the American flag on Cinco de Mayo day knowing that it would cause trouble.

The ruling under Tinker vs. Des Moines, the Supreme Court ruled that school officials can ban 1st amendment rights if they determine that it will cause disruption and cause students not to learn.

I get the ruling.

Now, what country is San Jose in that would there would be a problem with kids wearing an American flag on their shirt?

The idea of wearing the American flag being disruptive is where most common sense folks are upset.

I agree. I've ignored this thread until now because, well, I sometimes just ignore certain threads but here's my two cents.

The school administrators made the right decision that day. It could have caused violence, serious bodily harm to some teenagers, or even death.

The issue is ... Why is this school celebrating a Mexican Holiday? Does this school champion the Mexican culture or does this school attempt to bring these kids into the American fold and foster a sense of American pride or does it encourage a divide between the cultures? If it is fostering this divide, then they are liable for any violence that will occur.

Think about what you wrote. 2 students wearing the symbol of the United States is not causing trouble, the kids who didn't like it caused the trouble.

This is America. They should be able to deliberately wear their shirt on Cinco de Mayo o Seis de Mayo o Siete de Mayo o cualquier dia de Mayo. Maybe the American kids should start becoming offended of the Mexican flag and start threatening violence. Seriously, if any of the students start getting heated, then suspend them...that is the appropriate action.
