He would certainly get better all around coaching here, not to mention the one on one aspect with pops. He is a freshman that hasn't developed yet. If he was ready to average a double-double out of HS, he wouldn't be at ECU. His numbers as a freshman are slightly higher than Denzel Taylor's:

I would love for him to transfer, take a redshirt/sit our year, and be a 3rd year sophomore with a year under Jones and special attention from Bryant under his belt.

Yep, nice to see him catch up with the speed of the college game and now hitting 3s like we know he could in HS. Hasn't happened here in a long time.

What Ever just said! Makes sense to me. "If" it were to happen.

It's also great to see him with Twardzik , in my mine the greatest Monarch of all time. Hope Odell gets a chance to spend more time with the players while he's in town. Those two Monarchs never, ever got out worked.

I absolutely LOVE the way these guys fight. Yes, we have had a couple of sub-par games, but they rarely give in just because some people think they should. Great job by the staff all year to have these guys prepared. We play with 3 inside guys who are 6'6", 6'7" and 6'7". Our guards are young(and mostly slightly built), but fearless. They back down from no one. What a wonderful way to wash the memories of last year. Let's go to El Paso and get to work!

Brandan had 8 games with double digit rebounding and has shot 51% from the floor. That's not bad
As a freshman Brandan stats are much better than Franks as a 3rd year Sophomore.

Frank 2nd year after a RS year (3rd total).
FT%-45%
FG%-44%
PPG-5.3
Reb-4.9

Brandan as a true freshman
FT%-54%
FG%-51%
PPG-4.6
Reb-6.5

I would take him in a heartbeat. Seems to enjoy doing the dirty work and will work for what he gets. 03-yes

Great 2nd half adjustments! I agree that Moseley is really starting to shine. Nice win to end regular season! Also nice that Monarch Media didn't cut out before the end of the game this time!! Now let's see if we can pick up a few wins at the CUSA tourney!

Go Monarchs!

Do we have a realistic shot at a post season tournament? CIT or CBI?

Yes....All we have to do is put up the money to host. I get the feeling that is the backup plan.

I think you have to be .500 to get into the CBI... in other words, we'd have to win 2 next week.

save the damn money; an extra 3-4 practices and one more game aren't going to matter

This. And the coaches can focus on RECRUITING.

Thanks to Ever and R8R for answering my question!

That being said... The above posters bring up a good point: Are the extra games worth it? Maybe it would be more appropriate to spend the time recruiting.

Of course, watch us win the CUSA tourney and this will all be a moot point!! 02-13-banana02-13-banana

For a young team, these little tournaments can definitely be worth it. Frank Hassell really grew up in the CIT during his sophomore year.

For a senior laden team, I would agree. Save the money.
