As I asked above, would you rather have democrats or republicans controlling the senate if some supreme court justice retires or croaks in 2015? Your answer to that should resolve all your issues.

Who cares? At this point, there is only one certainty. The Dems will continue to win with their "free everything" gimmicks and election fraud, and the rest of us will be backed in the corner like dogs. Dogs do one thing when backed in a corner, just like people.

The economy is in a perfect stage for a collapse, and then where does all of the free-stuff come from? Mass rioting and destabilization ensues. The RINOs and Baby-boomers are going along with it to get the last bit of money they can before things go bad.

Even if the economy doesn't collapse, the mountain of debt is unpayable and at some point somebody doesn't get paid. When that somebody doesn't get paid, the house of cards comes crashing down and then a lot of people don't get paid.

Obama screwed us good and Owl is cheering it on to win an election, while condemning the Democrats for the same thing. That's the definition of a hypocrite, right?

While I may agree with most of what you have said. Just how do you think Republicans will dictate the terms when holding only 1/3 of the reins of power. I want smaller government as well, but don't think shutting down the whole apparatus for any length of time will help in wresting power from the Democrats. The Dems will just use that to frenzy the ignorant masses on how the Republicans took all their candy and flowers - things the Democrats would have given.

Sound familiar?

boner should be replaced as as speaker as promptly as possible. he has lost control of his spine, his common sense, and his caucus.

now, having said that, they guy is in a no-win situation (that is much of his own making). if he had fought, the MSM would be condemning him for starving children and throwing old people naked into the streets. now that he has not fought, he is decried as a p*ssy that capitulated before the enemy even appeared.

it takes massive amounts of high octane fail to get yourself in this spot.

RE: Boehner surrenders again
The point remains- all the screaming and yelling, posturing and table thumping mean exactly SQUAT when the dims win elections as "moderates", then vote 97.8% lock step with a lunatic like Pelosi.

We're "principled" doesn't accomplish a f$%^ing thing if the R's are relegated to minority status in perpetuity. I don't like the direction we, as a Nation, are heading and clearly this debt crisis is unsustainable. Who do we think has any chance in hell of making a difference there? Maybe, just maybe, the Republicans. No chance in the world it's the socialists.

But there is also no chance in the world if the Republicans don't win elections. Keep the focus on the zerOcare disaster and not on a "for show" cause like this one. It was going to be raised regardless, the dims would be running around rubbing their hands in glee if there was another House directed shutdown.

Now cue someone to jump in and call me a RINO next, the first election I worked on was Reagan Bush '84...

All this discussion on the 2014 elections is a moot point.

Folks, the voting demographic line crossed in 2012. The TAKERS outnumber the PRODUCERS. End game. Democrats will win all future national elections. Sure, there will still be Republican Congressmen and Senators but that does not = conservative. A huge crash of RINOS up inside the Beltway, LOL!

If Hillary runs in 2016, she will win. Period. She could openly say in the first debate "Hell, yes, I meant exactly what I said to Congress following the Benghazi attacks. WTF DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? Those guys died; too bad, so sad. Sh!t happens. We made the right decision then and I'd do it again."

As outrageous as that would be, I believe she'd still win.

Yeah yeah yeah, and then the same clowns whining now would have come back and talked about how the GOP blew it by allowing a shutdown. That's exactly what the DNC wants.

The GOP 100% came out the losers on the shutdown fiasco. Right or wrong, the Republicans did not win the court of public opinion on that one.

Wrong. Liberals and libertarians tried to make them out to be losers and that is exactly what they would do now.

The DNC are the losers and their loss of the Senate will solidify that.

Of course you do because it fits your agenda.

Explain to me how Ted Cruz got hero status and is polling equal or better than Hillary.

McClatchy/Marist Poll Feb 12, 2014
Hillary 56
Cruz 39

Please, please, please nominate Cruz. That would be awesome.

Who cares? Shut her down. Defund everything they can for 6 months and watch the Dems squirm. Elections have consequences... people haven't figured that out yet, so let's help them.

What's the worst that can happen? Dems get back both houses and continue to get everything they want? How is that different than now and Obama's first 2 years?

Well, for one the damage the leftists have been able to foist on this once great Nation has been far less than what they've been able to cripple us with since the Republicans took the House.

Dear leader has been reduced to a caricature of a president, whining and bragging about his phone and pen. lol

Take the Senate in a few months and they may be able to hold his bumbling feet to the fire similar to what the Repub's were able to do during the Slick willie fiasco.

The Clinton presidency was the most fiscally conservative presidency of my lifetime. He deregulated industries and had a surplus.

I wish that any of our other "fiscally conservative" officials were the same way, but they aren't. Doesn't matter what letter is next to their name, they spend spend spend.

Once again you flat out mischaracterize the libertarians. If there is 1 thing that they stand on that you should agree with, it is balancing the budget. Unfortunately you have given up on the true Republican ideals and you are a RINO who loves guys like Bush and Romney.

Wow. That's very informative. We all know that if we want to see how two potential candidates for national office match up against each other, it's best to pull out a four month old poll that covers the single state of Colorado.

Does it physically hurt to be as stupid as you are?

I hope everyone is aware that when she said the, "what difference does it make" statement she was not talking about the deaths of those men. It is a great example of partisan attacks based on a distortion of the facts. It is affective but in no way accurate.
