Hasn't anyone told you that we're using our extremely limited recruiting budget to send assistant coaches out to Hawaii now?

RE: 2015 Recruiting Thread
Junior McMullen who "parted ways with WMU" has had new interest from Arizona state and iowa state in addition to continued interest from Indiana. However, he was at NIU last weekend. This is from Rivals:

"McMullen took his second official visit of the process this past weekend to Northern Illinois and the Huskies are a strong consideration.
"I enjoyed that visit," McMullen said. "They showed me a lot of love and the players there are cool. They are a good program in the MAC, so I am really looking into that.""

He is going on more officials before signing day and he may not sign on the 4th

Sounds like he's holding out for a P5 offer and is willing to wait until or after signing day to see how the dominoes fall. At least it sounds like we're his favorite current offer.

There are 3 guys that I think we have a shot at signing. Junior McMullen OLB 6'2" 215 lbs. from Mich., Alvin harper JR., WR 6'0" 180 lbs. from Fla., and Corde O'Neal ATH 6'4" 200lbs from Ill.. Outside chance of TJ Green QB from Mo. and QB Cole Kotopka 6'5" 220 lbs. from Ill., which 247 sports now shows as warm interest to NIU. Cole has good size, but is a pro style QB, so I do not know if he sticks at QB.

Chicago (Ill.) Phillips senior quarterback recruit Dewayne Collins (6-foot-1, 189 pounds) made a weekend official visit to Southern Illinois University.

Still would like to see if we can consider him if his grades are decent.

Def sounds like he's hoping for a bigger offer. I'd say we'd have a shot with him if it's iowa state that offers. aSU offers and he's prolly committed there imo.

He's a GVSU commit and he visited there this past weekend. Doesn't mean he couldn't flip if we offered but I'm not really sure why we would.

I think Kotopka recently committed to Grand Valley State.

Corde O'Neal would be a nice pickup but it seems he is having trouble making the grades. I have read over the last few months that he has taken the ACT a couple times.

I'm guessing Kotopka would be a tight end if he came here. It makes sense to pick up another tight end since Ryan Roberts will probably be directed straight to the O-line room the second he walks in the building.

Per twitter we just offered OT Bryan Beck out of Franklin, WI. He is currently committed to FAU.

He's Vince Hughes' teammate and apparently Myers refers to him as his "protege".

Looks we are putting on the full court press for McMullen. On campus last weekend for an official visit and tonight Coach Carey out on the road for the in home visit.

Would obviously be a solid get for NIU. But as we all know, a lot can happen in the next six days.

As a WMU fan who follows recruiting a lot and has inside info. That is Junior's thing. He is a serial flirt that loves attention. Take what he says with a grain of salt...

3-star LB Joe Riggins has decided to de-commit from #NIU and will now play for #Akron. (h/t @MAC_Crootin) http://sbnation.com/e/7693156

yikes, that hurts.
