Brown better not get another year, he already had a redshirt year

Sorry MD, but even in the down years, average attendance at Evans for men's games was close to if not more than the best attended game this year. The Convo location may not help matters, but the perception of the program being down is another factor and the biggest factor may simply be that today's NIU students just don't care. They choose not to attend athletic events which is a real disappointment, but convincing them of that is next to impossible.

Bball just has to win. You can get crowds of 3k at the convo with-out much student support, if you are winning. NIU is just like every other school in the state, they will support bball if you are winning.

RE: Broncos @ Huskies predictions
Brown will most likely get the 6th year if he wants it....the NCAA rule is fewer than 30% of games played make one eligible for the injury waiver........so if NIU only plays 30 games, 30% is 9 games and DH played 10.....if the Huskies were to win a few games in the MAC tourney, maybe he could get the waiver....My guess is that the years brown was hurt his team played in 30+ games (year he played in 9 and 9 is 30% of 30) and 33 or 34 the year he played in 10..........do the math MD, it has nothing to do with "fair" or the fact that he played in 10 games...it is a simple percentage and it is an injury waiver--waiving the 5 year rule for eligibility to be completed.

My point was with all other things being even, the same crowd of 700 at the Convo would have been 1200 at Chick evans. I want to say when things bottomed out at Chick Evans it was in the 1200-1500 range most of the time, not the 700-1000 we get at the Convo.

I noticed that there is a circus coming to NIU on March 4th. They should have it at Chick Evans...

That's assuming a lot.

Not really, just looking at the bottoming odd weeknight attendance figures for similar years. We bottom out about 500 lower at the Convo compared to Chick Evans.

Highsmith played in 11 games and according to the coaches has already been denied. This was said before a game in the 6th man grille coaches speech.
