Intriguing game Sunday. The offensively gifted Broncos against the stingy Huskies. I think NIU would have to play at a very high level to have a chance in this game. This would be NIU's best win of the year if they can grab it. IMO, its the biggest game of the year to date. There could be a pretty good crowd for the game, sure would be nice to build on the recent success in front of a good crowd (all in a relative sense of course).

Western has been playing well lately but if NIU can slow this game down and make it an uglier, low-scoring game, they can win this.

Pretty unreal to think that if the following happen this weekend, NIU will be sitting as a 6 seed by Sunday evening:

Around this time last year we were as high as the 5th seed...the west was really bad last year.

And I guess we have a couple automatic L's with the Akron and Toledo games so that probably is a little misleading to say 6 is possible. The good thing is that if NIU can keep its head above water, the East will absolutely beat itself up so you have to figure one of their big 3 will come back to the pack. How in the hay does Kent State still have 26 votes in the mid major top 25, wow.

I honestly think the two best teams in the MAC will be visiting the Convo during this home stretch, WMU and Toledo.

That's why they play the games my friend, you never know what will happen. Plus its not like Toledo is Duke, they have and will be beat again by a MAC school.
