Multiple FCS opponents per team
Guys, this isn't good. I get App State in their transition year, but Georgia Southern and Georgia State.....that can't help us.

By the way, App, NMSU has to get rid of a game. Perhaps you might take one of their away games.

Don't worry, Jacksonville U does not meet the scholarship requirements to count as a Div 1 win in FBS so Savannah St is being scheduled to replace them.

RE: Multiple FCS opponents per team
App scheduled two in 2014 to ensure we have six home games due to our timing that was our only option.

Since then we have signed home and homes with Southern Miss, ODU, and Akron for years 2014-2017. Our formula will be 1 BCS money game, 1 G5 home game, 1 G5 away game, and an FCS home game going forward.

No one should PLAN on having a FCS opponent. At least that's my $0.02

Michigan didn't want to play us in Boone this year. Go figure.

We didn't have to worry about it this year, but our AD has indicated that we will always have 6 home games in a season, even if it means multiple FCS teams. That almost happened this year before we got Utah State to sign on to come to Jonesboro first in a home and home.

Yes that's my understanding. Jacksonville U will stay on the GS schedule until our AD finds them a replacement game.

After a quick check of FBSchedules.com it would appear Charlotte is a FBS school in 2015 so Geo St also only has 1 FCS school scheduled that year as well.

Charlotte is FBS next year? 2013 - first year of program. 2014 FCS Independent. 2015 - FBS CUSA member? You must be joking.

EDIT. They aren't joking. UNCC will play year 3 of their program as a full fledged FBS program. They are going to get smoked.

Yea it's a bad choice, that's one reason I've made sure to point out UNCC was a bad choice by CUSA since they technically had the choice of app or UNCC, however UNCC is good at bball so it fits coosa better and I'm happy with going SBC in every way I feel we made out better in the long run

Jacksonville will be removed in 2016 for the same reason Duquesne was removed in 2014. There's still 2 years to finalize that schedule and Jacksonville was scheduled while we were still FCS

They just count as FBS in 2015, but they are ineligible for bowls.
